Please, Pull My Thing... HARDER! (+first 3pgs of Kieron and Laura's art for THING#6)!

And another "thing":

Don't OTHER heroes come running to see what the FF are up to when the flair goes up?

I would've liked to see a few understated heroes to show up.
I suspect that's what comes on the next page or two...

I was looking at Namors costume,... Did I miss a memo?
that's his alternative costume he wears from time to time. Frankly I prefer it, since it's easier to take more seriously than just green speedos

OK I've been reading the Thing since it started and it's been one of my favs. every month, money is alittle tight but I will now buy 2 issues. It's worth it.

remember to tell your retailer that so they up their order

Some hold back on their orders, some order enough for back issue and some don't order any at all.

He's had it for a pretty long time, too.

I found it funny that Aquaman got a really, really similar costume during Erik Larsen's run.

Poor Aquaman. :(

No, he isn't.

Anyway;

I spent last month pulling my Thing. Next month I'll try to pull my friend's Thing.

It's a great book, hope it won't go anywhere.

I think I woulda pointed that out even if I wasn't a mod. It's got nothing to do with authority, Gambit didn't do anything even remotely against Hype rules. It's just that Dan made a point to ask people not to be negative while doing this, just as a matter of respect, that's all.

The new artist doesn't impress me and I haven't liked Sandman since Byrne royally screwed the character by making him evil again. :(

So does this mean Thing is cancelled, on hiatus or what? From what I've seen the numbers are pretty weak but still easily above Spider-Girl that has been going on forever.

Spider-Girl is cancelled with issue 100

At this point, issue #8 is the Thing's last, unless a significant push is made to the numbers, which is what we're trying to do

I actually prefer Dwyer to Devito, so this is great for me.

I'm all about pulling The Thing. I've got two of them on my pull list already.
Same here, on both accounts actually. In fact I go into my shop and scream "PULL MY THING"...I mean, they'd probably kick me out if I wasn't spending $150 a month but that's their problem.

not if we spread the word and get more people reading

It sells where I get my books. Guess not the same case all around.

Yeah, it I think it sells decently at my LCS too, but that's because the guys there are awesome and always push good books, Comic Swap State College Pa. Dan Slott should visit.

Hmm that last page of that preview made me laugh I picked up the first issue and was sad I wasted 2.99. But that preview did make me laugh so I might pick it up agian hopefully I won't get burned agian. Still depends on what I get that week.

Well, good thing you aren't writing a Man-Thing book, as the joke would have been a bit TOO risque.

"Pull My Thing" is absolutely innocent compared to "Pull my Man-Thing"...

Well... That is SO lame. I just bought #'s 1-3 and planned on getting the rest next week. I like the oldschool feel of the book. Does anyone else notice that this title is ultra-old fashioned but not TOO old fashioned? I like it. :)

I noticed that the pacing is a lot more like the superhero comics that were around when I was growing up, rather than the ultra-decompressed pacing that dominates most current comics. Outside of that, I wouldn't really say it's old-fashioned, just more of a traditional superhero comic that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I was with a girl and I told her to pull my Thing....

oh wait wrong thread.:p

Seriously I got two people plling Thing as we speak, I actually drove them to comic book store and held a gun to their heads.
