The Thing # 8.

I have Thing on my pull lists and I didnt even get it, my store has a problem with underordering stuff. I didnt even get Outsiders this week.

you guys should have told your stores ahead of time, to make SURE they would have had it. That way they would have ordered more.

Hell, there still might be time- - comics are always over printed slightly more than the orders that they get for them, in case some stores want to re-order. Call your shops and ask if they can get the book in for you, they should be able to call diamond

Oh yeah, they do. Every week im always misisng a comic or 2 but I get it the next week.

Definitely a fantastic issue. I think one of the coolest things to come out of this series was the teaming up of Thing and Lockjaw, probably one of the smartest things to do. Though I'm sure everyone at Marvel will forget about it except Dan Slott and the fans of the book. :(

The Great Lakes...uhh...Champions was a nice touch. And it was funny as hell when Flatman won the tournament, heh.

This was probably one of Marvel's better books, one that both kids and adults could enjoy heavily. It's just one of those things that just didn't get the attention that it deserved.

Though on a positive note Mr. Slott is going to be working on something else, with a lot of guys at Marvel really getting behind him on it. I really hope that this really gets Dan out there and possibly gets him the respect he truly deserves with such work as The Thing, GLA, Spider-Man/Human Torch, and She-Hulk.

If it wasn't for his Spider-Man/Human Torch miniseries I probably would have never picked this book up.

This is the only issue of the Thing I picked up, I will admit. It just didn't fit into my budget before, but I couldn't resist a poker issue so I went ahead and bought it. It was fun, a bit of a quick read, and a little fanboyish when it came to the GLC (really, it was if they appeared more than the title character), but overall a fun good issue. I'll probably pick up the trade.

It was definately a little depressing how everyone was just like, "that's it." and it just abruptly ended.

I got all 8 issues though! Not a bad series.

heh.
I really wish marvel could "look the other way" on some titles when it comes to money.

The best 8 issue series money can buy.

#8 was a nice wrapping up of sorts for everything from #1.Loved the whole community feel among the superheroes.

Get the trade and get Slott's upcoming series after CW.Heck get Spidey/Human Torch while you're at it if you want to read a modern classic.
