Let's face it. Sooner or later someone of us will panic about the lack of posters/quality of posters/lack of trailers/quality of trailers/lack of action figures/lack of swastikas or something completely different, so I thought, since production has already begun it is time to make thread for all those complaints and start with

" I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE IS NO TRAILER YET! NOT EVEN SET PICS! I MEAN SERIOUSLY WTF???"

Marvel is pretty careful about how much Money they spend on advertising. They tend to start late. But Avengers is an "event" movie, and hopefully Paramount will recognize that.

But if they're smart about how they introduce "Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, same movie" to the public, they won't need constant ads. That's enough to get the public excited, hopefully.

I'm not worried. Disney is pretty good at marketing their films.

It's a good thing they've marketed it with 3 going on 5 blockbuster movies. Whew!

Paramount isn't going to distribute the movie, Disney is, and their pockets are deep, they're going to promote the sh** out of this movie.

Poor marketing? What? By the time this movie is done it will have had possibly the most elaborate marketing campaign ever. Just for starters, you could say the 5 previous motion pictures served as it's trailers... sort of.

Seriously, they've had the "Avengers Assemble" tag on a bunch of stuff, the cast has already made appearances together, and they've been teasing it since the first "Iron Man".

Are you kidding? I've read that Marvel and Disney want the Avengers to become a household name in 2012, they said they're gonna promote the hell out of it and the 'Avengers Assemble' slogan.

Well, at this very moment Thor's spoiler threads have about the same amount of viewers as Superman's .

That's a good sign of what's to come for The Avengers threads in the near future.

I like how you guys think the original post was serious. SOME people don't check out the Thor boards often.

What is the point of this thread? Does OP even know what the point is? I say delete it.

The flick is over a year away....is this thread seriously needed?

Someone else posted a thread with the same name in the Thor section....there, it may be warranted (the film is a month away).

But why don't we start a "lack of marketing" thread in the The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-man forums? Are you serious? We not in the The Man of Steel forums? This is pointless. The film hasn't even gone in front of the lens yet. Mark Ruffalo just said that they are still ironing the script and go in front of the camera come May....the month we're in (for those without a calendar) is April.

This film will be marketed, this film will be an event, a huge one. It will kick off one of the most anticipated (if not the most) superhero movie summer ever (The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-man, and The Avengers).

Wait until February of 2012 to make this thread.

This thread fails the internet.

idk, it may not be needed YET, but IF someone has the urge to complain in the next months (and rest assured as soon as the concentration of the masses switches from the Thor/Cap boards to the Avenger boards SOMEONE will!!!) he already finds a shelter here. :oldrazz:

Again.... This is a joke thread. It's a parody of a similar thread on the Thor section.
