but i don't like super graphic violent things because those images stay in my head, and i have enough of those in there already. there are some suspenseful moments, but that may also be me prepping myself to turn my head in case it's something too gross lol

i've been slowly boxing stuff up of mine while i'm in town for my move, and man, it's stressful. i will be out of state for 6 weeks out of 9. i'm working 6 days this week. flying out sunday morning.

i really wish i could spend some time home and do this proper but i need to quit overthinking and overwhelming myself. i just really gotta take one day at a time and relax.
i've put together some bags of stuff to donate tomorrow so i think getting that out of the house will give me a little more peace of mind. i dropped some stuff off to storage today that had been in my car, and i'm running out of room in my storage unit. that's partially because i think i poorly started stacking when i started filling it. but oh well.

I guess I've kinda outgrown the bad guy per episode sort of thing, like CSI. I'd rather have a whole season to explore a single crime, to better to get to know all of the players. I will say the Bone Collector books I've read so far have been excellent.

i would prefer that too. but i was reading an article about how it is part procedural with on-going crime going on in the background as well. they are hunting the bone collector throughout, but i kinda like how they show him out there living his best life. you don't usually get to see the villains like that much. it seems like most shows are one-bad-guy-per-episode these days. is it because people can't invest in a season-long plot (which i am a fan of), or is it because shows are so scared of getting cancelled and not getting everything wrapped up, maybe so a viewer can jump in anytime so as not to feel like they're lost.

who knows? lol

fwiw, i never watched CSI, and i only watch NCIS when there is nothing else on. i've seen random episodes of Criminal Minds, but i didn't like how long those stories stayed with me after so I haven't really revisited those.
i would like to read the Bone Collector books one day. Not really my niche, but i haven't met anyone who hasn't enjoyed them.

I count those that gorge on true crime and stories about serial killers as made of stronger stuff than I.

I don't get the fascination enough to make those things a regular part of my entertainment diet.

I think there is only 2 American shows that did an entire season on one crime.....MURDER ONE and 24. I personally would like to see a compromise between the "new crime every week" and "entire season on a crime"......with series doing 4 or 5 episodes per crime.
