Stark is Iron Man [unclear text] Genius Mr. Stark, inventor [unclear text] Industries, and international [unclear text] world with this greatest [unclear text]. Stark discusses his time [unclear text, possibly Afghanistan], and reveals how [unclear text] his new identity.

Stunning the world's press, amazing captains of industry, delighting a curious public and thrilling children the world over, Tony Stark, CEO of Stark Enterprises announced this week that he was the man behind Iron Man. The mysterious metal-clad behemoth that has battled terrorists, challenged natural disasters, and rescued thousands of people around the world, had people guessing as to his true identity.

Last month, at Stark Headquarters in Southern California, Tony Stark declared that his company founded by his father, will no longer design and manufacture weapons of mass destruction. Stark announced a new era for his company, Stark Enterprises, in which the company would turn its resources to the creation of alternative technology and non-military products. This announcement is a dramatic departure for the company.

The letters S.O.S. line up pretty well in the title... maybe too well

Page Buckner is doing the art direction on IM2; and Nancy King is the art department coordinator and Noelle King is the set designer...

I do find it strange that they spelled Trauma and Kidnapping incorrectly... The four letters they messed up on are UDEP... haven't found anything yet on that...

ooo... StarkIndustiresnow.com was the website that got this all started, but the article mentions Stark Enterprises...

The new poster spells Kidnapped correctly

I've noticed that the article picture is very similar to the below picture from the first Iron Man. In fact, Stark appears to have the same slicked back hairstyle and same fitting shirt.

GREAT FIND! That totally is the same shirt... almost same everything... I'd argue it is the same image, but (at the very least) his fingers are in different positions on the mask.

I actually found two of the people who "wrote" the article on facebook (only found the one N. King) - and I messaged them...

I don't think that they would know... They probably just did the "art" stuff (i.e., all the faux articles), and put their names to it because they could... but we'll see what they say...

Someone pointed out in the comments sections on the SHH post that substantial is misspelled as well... that give us N-U-D-E

What could it mean?

What I want to know is what Paramount told SHH when they gave the photo. It's obviously not a production still, so it's a "In the world" kind of nod to the fans, but I wonder if they actually said it was a 'clue' or if that was just an editorial addition on SHH's part.

My two cents? The applications will yield some viral/ARG fruit but this is probably just a bit of a set-up for Iron Man 2, but nothing directly for the game.

Man... we've been waiting for a while now... They did NOTHING so far with starkindustriesnow.com ... so I'm kind of skeptical that there will be any "fan involvement" in promotion of this movie...

Not to bash anyone, but is this seriously a viral campaign or are people just looking waaaaaay to far into it?

It's just the same picture that was in the one Wiplash photo, just magnified. I mean I could be wrong, but nowhere on the site does it say anything about clues or anything like that. It just shows a picture of the article.

It seems more like just a promo hype photo to me to get the website going rather than something with actually hidden clues or codes. Even the photo on the wall in the Wiplash picture has the same arrows and everything.

Isn't it interesting that both P Buckner and N King have to do something with the Art in the Iron Man movie?

SHH said it was a "clue" which means "viral game" to me.

Though, SHH didn't really elaborate any, just letting us get into it.

Exactly, SHH said it was a clue. I want to know how Paramount worded it when they gave the picture to them; they could have just sent them a picture and SHH called it a clue. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong - which I'd like to be - but I get the feeling this is just promo stuff.

And as for the apps, I know they've been out a while, but for such a big campaign to let its biggest fans down, I doubt it. I just have a feeling they won't let you down.

[God, I'm sounding like an eternal pessimist.]

I think the end result of everyone messaging these people will be simply contacting key crew in Iron Man 2 or someone who happens to share their name. If the 'clues' led to people from the world within the films, then maybe, but as it is, I think these are just homages to the people that made the film possible.

Don't get me wrong; I admire the candor of those that have messaged them. I just want to bring up the possibility that these 'clues' weren't meant for us to bug these people.

The thing about getting to the bottom of the picture is that I think this is one of those things where Paramount only sends certain outlets certain materials to drum up hits for all websites, and not just one. So no one but SHH would be able to tell us what that photo's purpose really is. Well, Paramount could, but I'm pretty sure they're loving the attention.

So, in effect, I am looking too much into a photo I feel like people are looking to much into. HYPOCRISY ABOUND!

Here is a list of anagrams we can make from

S-U-B-S-T-A-T-I-A-L
T-R-A-M-A
K-I-D-D-E-N-A-P-P-I-N-G

My findings could mean nothing...or they could mean everything. I don't know. I'm not an expert at the Iron Man mythology so I don't know if any of his villains practice anti-turnpikeism. I helped out a lot here at SHH during the TDK viral so now I'm back to assist on the Iron Man one.

When did a TDK puzzle ever get solved by looking up every possible anagram between several long words? :funny:

If they want to make this mainstream, it's gotta be more obvious than that. If we don't get it by tomorrow or Saturday, we'll see if they send something else. The puppetmasters never let us flounder around for long, especially if they've got something actually set up for us.

Of course, I could be completely going in the wrong direction, but why spell 3 words wrong in 1 sentence?
I agree, that's strange. but the typos, if we picked them out individually, spell "nude." If we plug that into a URL, it likely will not be related to IM2. :lmao: I guess it could be "dune" as well, but I plugged that at the end of the starkindustriesnow.com URL and got zilch.

The peeps over at Unfiction are also going over the pic in Photoshop, but no dice so far.

How did the TDK viral go? I never paid attention to it so I'm uncertain how these viral games work. I'll bet though that this whole thing getting started now is intended to be the run-up to the teaser trailer being released online.
