Possible Spider-Man concept art on AICN (Keep all Comments to this Thread ONLY)

have you seen the venom sculpture head from master replicas, the eyes look exactly the same, since sony removed them, that means they were concepts.

true, but if the Venom photo is a manip perhaps the artist based it on the sculpture head. also, the whole Sony request could just be an attempt at misinformation. all I'm saying is that I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

Sweet, Venom looks awsome

Its a good day today. First Bumblebee pic for Transformers, now these. Cool.

If true, I'd be very happy! I think the warped raised webbing on Venom's arms looks cool.

Venom looks sweet.

Harry's design looks....as expected. :csad:

and Sandman looks...like Sandman.

Amen. He looks like he doesnt belong in this movie either. I mean with all the talented designers at Raimi's disposal... are you telling me he honestly said to himself one day...

"AH YES... thats it! The perfect Goblin costume! Especially after how I screwed up the original Goblin in part 1!!"

Venom is basically perfect in my book. The claws, teeth, long slimey tounge and no mishapen jawline are appreciated. Also, the fact the webbing is included, but not everywhere like spidey, is a fresh touch I really like. I was worried that the raised webbing would be everywhere, which would have sucked.

I'll admit I thought it was kinda lame at first that Venom's suit would have the same kinda webbing as Spidey's suit but if this is what they're going with I'm all for it.

Absolutely rediculous. Sony does not waste their time asking AICN to take off a photo made by a fan, even if it was loosly based on a sculpture from MR. The image was removed because it is real or is so close to the real deal that Sony was uncomfortable. No one has ever seen artwork that good that was fan made.

It's real, and we'll probably get confirmation on Thursday.

Sony had once told AICN several months ago to remove a fake pic of Venom (created by WormyT, a poster in this forum).

Because he was using images owned by Sony. He intercut real footage from SM2. You can't use footage from a movie and present it as a real trailer. They didn't ask it to be removed because of the image of Venom, they asked it to be removed because it was being represented (by AICN) as real footage.

This isn't the CIA covering up a UFO. This is Sony asking AICN to remove 3 images owned by them.

and you know what Sony does or doesn't do how? here's the thing - you have no idea what Sony said to AICN. for all you know Sony only cared about the Goblin and Sandman photos but didn't bother to specify. why they would even care about the Sandman photo is beyond me since his appearance is identical to his comic counterpart. also, there's no 'e' in ridiculous.

I'm assuming that by 'no one' you mean you. take a look at some of the manip threads.

No need for confirmation on Thursday, here's all the proof we need..

...its Venom from the comic-con trailer...:ninja:

Damn Sony is fast! lol

SADLY - the images were removed at the request of SONY. As those of you who saw them could tell - they were EARLY versions of characters and not the final goodness, but just the mere fact that SONY asked us to take them down means.... they were pretty close. --- Harry

There is not piece of artwork anywhere in that thread that even comes close. This is not a manipulation of another image, it's someone's artwork, whether it's from a computer or drawn.

Wow, well we can all friggin cross our fingers and hope Venom looks like that! OMG that is the most kick ass looking Venom I could ever imagine! I am as close to saying that he looks better then the comic book Venom! Wassup with that!!!

Maybe Sony made him take it off cause what if people LOVED what they were looking at and Venom looks NOTHING like that??? Then people would be disappointed and it would be an embarrassment.

Them having to take it off don't necessarily mean that it was a real pic of Venom and Sandman, or Goblin.

I hope it is for the other possible reason. That this is the real deal!:ninja:

and you know that how exactly?

These images were not on AICN earlier in the day. Sony didn't have time to hatch a plan and decide to have AICN take them down as some type of cover-up. Sony saw them and had them taken down, either because they were real, or pretty darn close to real.

Anyone else heard of Achems Razor?

I guess because it's not a manipulation. A manipulation is one image altered to make it into another. How are any of the 3 images a manipulation? They are stand alone art.

I suppose they could fake and drawn by a very talented artist. If they are not real, Sony should hire the guy or girl who did them.

Yeah, they're designs for the videogame, which means that they're probably very close but not exactly what we'll see on film.
