The Amazing Spider-Man Possible Sypnopsis?

Spider-Man 4, or 5,
villain: Mysterio

Spider-Man is seen robbing museums and banks all over New York. The Daily Bugle reports about it, along with other papers. Its not just rumors anymore. At the same time a Psychiatrist comes to the Daily Bugle with information, in his professional opinion Spider-Man is suffering from severe mental illness and could crack at any time and judging by the robberies it may have started already.
Peter reads about it, and hears about it at the paper, the doctor's report gets Peter worried that maybe his spider-powers are starting to effect his brain, could he be blacking out and robbing banks?
Even though Mary Jane, who Peter is now living with, tries to comfort him Peter is still worried.
Suddenly a new hero shows up in New York and goes straight to the Daily Bugle, as well as other papers. His name is Mysterio and he is here to save New York from Spider-Man.
During is swinging around the city to clear his head Peter starts seeing things. Old enemies like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Sandman, and Venom, come out of no where and attack. Spider-Man fights back but suddenly nothing is there. Could the doctor actually be right?
While Peter tries to come to grips with his problem, even meeting with the Doctor, Mary Jane is unsure of this psychiatrist and decides to investigate.
Spider-Man also has several run ins with Mysterio, he seems stronger, faster, and has mystical powers.
Perhaps Mary Jane meets this doctor and finds out he is connected to Mysterio. Only she gets kidnapped or is running from the psychiatrist because he actually is Mysterio.
Spider-Man also finds out that Mysterio was behind the robberies, pretending to be Spider-Man, and he actually is the psychiatrist, and behind all the illusions that made Spider-Man think he was loosing his mind.
In the end Peter/Spider-Man wins because, while Mysterio may be stronger, faster, and more powerful, its all manufactured, whereas Peter's powers are all natural. Maybe Mysterio even dies at the end, but we also see that his death was another illusion.

Sometime during the film Aunt May also finds out that Peter is Spider-Man, and during the coarse of the movie we see her reaction.
First shock, sadness, anger, all sorts of emotions, eventually acceptance (we see her write letters to papers like the Bugle, dropping her subscription because of all the bad mouthing they do about Spider-man, while she writes a letter of praise about another paper's , Front Line's, praising Spider-Man.) We also see her do subtle things to help Peter with his alter ego without Peter knowing.
Will she tell Peter she knows? Maybe she is having trouble figuring out what to do.
This would give Aunt May something to do in the films, just like giving Mary Jane more to do than just be the love interest and damsel in distress.

Mysterio should come off as a super genius and planner.

Te rumour on IGN sounds too bad to be true. I call fake.

Can we, for once, just have an all-out action Spidey flick?

I want this like a fat kid wants cake.

As for these... rumours and possible *spoilers* - heh, sounds horrid. I know it's probably false by a large mark, but I can't help the lil knot in my gut that whispers, 'That sounds just like what they'd do.' It sounds really benign - the way has been lost, now, utter panic to try and find the way, but more knots are made and the poo is steaming. God please help us.

ANYway. Lost myself there a bit. Let's hope this is far from what we get. I can't be arsed with Black cat AT ALL. Give us someone who blows some sh** up and works Spidey over, rather than some emotionally charged villain to make poor lil Pete weep.

Movie opens on a CU of Mary Jane, she is having a very angry fight with, who we assume, is Peter. After a tearful break up, the camera pulls back to reveal she is auditioning for a role. Bruce Campbell plays the casting director and lets her know that they will let her know but the role means her having to move to LA during the shoot of a movie.

She leaves the audition, A wide shot reveals Spider-Man perched over the ledge of a building watching over her. He narrates about how they are trying to rebuild their relationship but it would seem that they need more time.

As he swings away, his attention is called as a woman is being mugged in an alley. As spidey approaches to help, his spider-sense goes crazy. Suddenly a bunch of flood lights fill the alley and a police chopper is in the air. Capt. Stacey is in it. He announces that NY will not longer tolerate a vigilante like him. After a chase, spider-man barely escapes. We hear Stacey's words "As long as you wear that mask, you're a criminal"

This transitions to the daily bugle, where the headline reads that NYPD has a warrant out of Spider-Man's arrest. JJJ could not be happier, Sales of the Daily Bugle are at an all time high. Peter has the permanent staff job but its come at the price of being deemed the photographer that smeared Spider-Man's name. He angrily trashes his newspaper, this transitions to the NY harbor.

A hidden man grabs the DB newspaper and reads the headline. It is Kraven.

Peter is now instructing classes with Connors as his TA. Gwen still has an obvious crush on him but Peter seems to preoccupied to notice. He has a date with MJ that night where he is going to try to express how much he misses her. This is seen as he is supposed to be marking papers but is practicing what he is going to say on a note he wrote down.

MJ comes to visit him but stops at the door as she sees Gwen approach him at his desk at the head of the class. Gwen is about to talk to Peter as someone else in the class calling attention for everyone to have a look at the video he just got on his phone. Kraven has posted a video challenging Spider-Man to a fight and that if he does not accept, that he will hunt him down like an animal.

And we go from there. Toss in Black cat as the car jacker's daughter or some crap and you're good.

Are any of these true? Or are we just making ideas up?

So far the only things confirmed are

new lead female being cast
child with red hair being cast. (3yrs old)

Raimi is back
Tobey and Kristen are back
Bruce campbell has a major role
Papajohn (aka the car jacker) is also back

I actually really liked Artistseans idea. I just feel that it might need to be a little longer, it seems a bit short.

Tbh, I don't think it's necessarily true that BLack Cat is in this film. It could be, and the guy who said it seems very reliable, but only time will tell right now.

SM4 Intro Narration.

"Hellllooooooo...Im drunk...a drunk Spider(hicup)Man,dont see that everydayyyyyyy,do yaaaaaaa(hicup)aaaaa?. Ok,I bet(hicup) youre wondering what..."(THUD. Snoring).

Thanks, I just used two of the original Mysterio storylines.
One where he tries to frame Spider-Man for robbery and set himself up as New York's Hero, and another where he tries to convince Spider-Man that he is going crazy.
For Aunt May I used the storyline where she found out about Peter being Spider-Man. I loved how she reacted.
It was so short because they were just ideas, I wasn't trying to write a whole movie outline.

The whole Spider-Man going crazy idea could even tie into his past with the black suit, people are willing to believe because of his behavior with the alien costume. Plus Peter thinks his mental state could be unraveling because of the effects of the costume, perhaps. Mary Jane, however should never really doubt him.
the Psychiatrist, Mysterio in disguise, could have a few sessions with Spider-Man in which he tries to make Spider-Man think he is going crazy.

The scenes with the past villains, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Green Goblin II, Venom, could all be done quickly and cheaply, since they are illusions that only last for a few minutes each.

If they use Mysterio these are just some ideas on how to make him a serious threat to Spider-Man.

Something else they could add in that was done in the old comics all the time,
Jameson backs Mysterio, and the Psychiatrist, so much that when it is revealed by Peter's photos that Mysterio was framing Spider-Man the whole time and is in fact the real bad guy,
Jameson, choking on his own rage, must run a retraction.
He usually says something like "run it on the bottom of page 12."

K. So plot synopsis:
Mysterio (AKA the psychiatrist) comes to town to frame Spider-Man, make him and everyone else think he has lots his mind and is dangerous, and make Mysterio look like a hero.
Aunt May finds out about Peter's secret, Jameson backs Mysterio, Mary Jane tries to help Peter by doing some detective work.

Artistsean, I must say, your work is excellent!

Dumbest ****ing thing ever. Why ain't JJ stil editor of the Bugle? Why the **** is Felicia Hardy even involved? Black Cat is a lame Catwoman rip off. Why the **** is she Vultures daughter? Why the **** does she become "Vultress".

Yea well done Raimi, nice improvement on SM3. NOT.

I so badly hope this isn't true.

Yea man. I mean, I usually keep an open mind about everything. But this? This is just ****ing ridiculous. It's like Raimi is actively trying to kill the franchise off with this crap.

I don't think she'll be his daughter because the names don't match. The editor will be a nobody that gets killed, she'll be Vultures side kick to get back at Spidey. Oscar calibur story IMO.

So they seem to be getting rid of JJ. Why? He was the constant brilliant thing about the Spidey films when everything else was falling apart.

Of course I'll give it a chance but seriously...this synopsis sounds so ****ing dumb.

I mean they have had Doc Conners in all three films so far, why not go the Lizard route? Who gives a crap about Black Cat the Catwoman rip off and Vulture?

This seems too ridiculous to be true. Of course, so was the notion that Sandman killed Uncle Ben. (Though I personally still hold the original killer responsible because he jarred Flint's arm, causing him to shoot). I'm still taking this with a grain of salt.

Could you imagine JJ being reduced to a cameo if this new guy steps in? That would be the biggest BS of all time in this franchise.

So its the whole new newspaper man takes over and hero dates his daughter plot from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace mixed with the your responsible for my fathers death thing again which we already saw with Harry Osborne in the last 3 bloody movies:doh:

I hope this is fake because no way thats the best script that Sony had which they would greenlight.

Yea exactly. JJ was one of the constant great things about this franchise, and to just sweep him under the carpet? Utter idiocy.

That must be one of the worst ****s I've ever read! Seriously, there are loads of fanwritten plots that are 10 times better, and they're not even 'professional'. I definitely won't watch this movie if this crap turns out to be true!
