Power Rangers 4.0 - Part 1

Seriously! Everyone looks happy except for Ema! Does she hate being a Ranger?

I'm guessing she's one of those types that doesn't smile with her mouth open, if that makes any sense.

Actually that does make sense. But I don't think that's happening here. She's had multiple group photos and in each one she doesn't look happy.

Unless she sees Power Rangers as just another job.

Erika Fong from Power Rangers Samurai was in Transformers Age Of Extinction for a brief moment, she was in a scene with Kelsey Grammer.

I am so done with Saban and his cheapass. PR has been around this long and he is to cheap to give us an all original episode that is actually good, instead we get 10 second cameos, a small group scene, and they wasted time and money on doing those stupid helmet shots of all the old rangers who showed up out of uniform.

I still don't understand how we could get to a point where PR created their own villains, used a lot of original footage to the point where they rarely do any of that anymore.

Call me when they get their act together again.

And yet, fans still wonder why PR alums like Karan Ashley and David Yost scoffed at Saban's offer to return.

Not only were they offering them little compensation, but they would being flying out there for what is...... yeah, you said it: A glorified cameo, possibly with no lines.

TBH, I don't blame Saban though. I blame Jonathan Tzachor and his ridiculous mismanagement of the show as Executive Producer.

Thank GOD that Judd Lynn is back, and is firmly and convincingly stepping away from JT's method of showrunning.

Oh, god.... Going by the posts. The Legend War may have well trumped Day of the Doctor* and Operation Overdrive's Once a Ranger as the worst anniversary story known to man... Now I don't even want to bother watching the episode

God damn it,Tzachor & Saban!!!! :grr:

What the hell, Saban?! You had one job! ONE JOB!! :cmad:

Just if anyone is curious, the English legend war is on YouTube now. Doesn't help it much, but if anyone wants to see it, it's there.

Looks to me like they could have just gotten JDF and that's it.

And judging by the pics on this page, yeah I think Ema just doesn't smile with her mouth open.

Worst Power Rangers crossover ever of all time based on those clips. No wonder why everybody else turned them down

I really wanted to like these past two seasons, but due to no real plot or character developments it's failing miserably.......and for the record I actually enjoyed "Once a Ranger" in spite of the obvious story problems. Compared to the current writing, it's a masterpiece.:csad:

Obvious story problems?

I feel like MF and SMF are just cycling through classic story tropes and the like. And then when we get a totally epic episode, it gets washed away by a few totally bad ones. I literally stopped reviewing PR for the site I work for because of the string of bad episodes. I'll still review Legend War though and do my countdown of the seasons. MF/SMF will be on the bottom tier, that's for sure.

I'm being told like the last 5 or 6 episodes of SMF are actually all pretty solid. But its been such a string of let downs I haven't brought myself to watch any of the recent ones yet. Not including Legendary Battle, I've seen most of it, and I don't feel it holds up well at all. Hell, I don't even understand what all the past Rangers are doing just hanging around the city and not showing up until the end of the show.

Haim Saban has joined forces with filmmaker Chris Columbus, producer Michael Barnathan and kids entertainment specialist Jeremy Zag to launch a new animation studio.

The team — consisting of Saban, chairman and CEO of Saban Capital Group and founder of Saban Brands, Oscar-nominated Columbus (the Harry Potter franchise, Sony's upcoming Pixels), Oscar nominee Barnathan (The Help) and Zag, founder of ZAG Entertainment — will lead ZAG Animation Studios in developing, producing and distributing feature film family entertainment franchises around the world.

The plan is to produce one 3D animated film and one CGI-live action hybrid film per year, starting in 2017. ZAG Animation Studios will operate out of Glendale, Calif.

"This is an incredible moment for our business as we partner to create a world-class animation studio that will produce extraordinary feature films," Saban said. "ZAG Animation Studios will deliver creative and compelling family entertainment for generations to come."

ZAG Animation Studios has a slate of 10 original family features in development, including full CGI animated films as well as CGI-live action hybrids. The studio’s first feature, Melody, will be full CGI and co-directed by Columbus and Zag. Additional films on the slate include Ghostforce, a CGI-live action hybrid, and Abominable, in full CGI. More details on the lineup will be announced soon, with plans to include a full collection of themed consumer products.

The Saban group will be responsible for the coordination of all distribution and marketing strategies, while Saban Brands will handle worldwide licensing and merchandising for the films.

"After all of these years, it's fantastic to start a new venture that brings together talented artists from around the world under Jeremy's excellent leadership and Haim's brilliant international business experience," Columbus said.

Added Barnathan: "We are thrilled to build an animation studio with the youthful genius that Jeremy brings and the experienced business guidance of Haim Saban. Jeremy Zag is a force of nature. He's one of those rare talents that comes along and inspires everyone he meets."

Said Zag: I am so honored and excited to collaborate with these amazing entertainment legends that influenced my childhood with their incredible works. This powerful venture, with an unprecedented dream team, will inevitably set the stage for a powerful new player with a world-view perspective in the family entertainment arena."

Power Rangers: The Animated Series anyone?

It's funny that everytime I think of Saban, the fact that Saban is an actual person never comes to my mind. I just think of it just being a company.

I'm surprised Saban would do anything that would cost him some money.
