Predators 2

PREDATORS was already pretty boring (and stupid). That's what modern movies are, postmodern crap, copying old stuff and adding some lame references.

i enjoyed Rodriguez's Predators movie very much. i was hoping there'd be some news regarding a sequel. more so now since Arnold is back doing movies. it'd be awesome to see him back as Dutch.

Predators was a C+ film. Now while the film wasn't an AVP or a Predator 2, Rodriguez still did a very subpar job, in my opinion.

When the inevitable reboot comes along within the next five years (Prometheus could absolutely spark re-interest in the Predator franchise), I don't want a guy like Robert at the helm. I honestly believe he can't do a good Sci-Fi/Horror/Action movie.

The concept was great, but the story was ****.

Thought we finally had some news then, yes, Predators wasnt amazing but it was pretty good and made enough money for a sequel that could go many interesting ways IMO. Surprised we havent heard anything about it yet but Rodriguez is crazy busy at the moment.

Hope we do get some news soon and this franchise isnt dead.

^Ha ha great video, yeah there are plenty of places to go with the sequel, they could go more into the blood feud between the 2 Predator races that got revealed in the last movie.

I enjoyed Predators, but Adrien Brody fu**ing sucked. Expect Predators sequel to come out in 2018 because Rodriguez likes to take so long.

Very much. Predators had a very simple but very effective concept, but it managed to squander its potential at every turn. Somewhat enjoyable and yet entirely disappointing.

I absolutely agree. I liked the concept but the execution was lacklustre. I think nothing will touch the first Predator film with Arnold - someone who I believed could outlast and beat a Predator. If you're copying all the elements from the original why bother? Have the spirit, sure. But do something completely different, and if you can't don't.

Wait, are they inferring on a gladiator type thing for the sequel? Because that could be cool if done right. In a way I kind of want to see what happens with Royce and Isabelle. Them encountering other survivors.

The problem I had with predators was they spent so much time on the look and setting that the story was just meh and not very interesting. They tried to replicate the original by setting it on another planet but just felt very cheap in the end. It feels like with this and the 2 AVP movies that they think that once we see a predator that it is enough to keep us satisfied for 2 hours, well its not.

I liked it but it felt like there needed to be MORE Predators to me. I was expecting like, an army of them to come after the anti-heroes.

Also, Topher's "revelation" at the end was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. "HEY GUYZ I'M JUST LIKE YOU SO JUST STOP TRYING TO RIP ME TO SHREDS AND WE'LL TEAM UP OKAY... ACK! ARRGH!! NOOO!! WHY?!"

I liked the film too, but I haven't seen it seen it was in theaters, which is telling. I also hated the missed opportunity with the captured Predator dude. He could have been the 'lesser of the two evils' Predator who joins the humans, but nope.

Funnilly enough, I could actually see Sly in Predator movie, I really can; it would contrast quite nicely with Arnies previous involvement (come to think of it - when they realised that Arnold didnt want to do Predator 2, they should have gone to Stallone instead of Glover).

And factor in a cameo from Dutch while we're at it.

I just kinda feel like the concept and greatness of the predator died with the original. Everything else after felt like a poor imitation.

I think a problem with Predators was the budget, $40 isnt that much and not enough to make an epic sci-fi film. If a sequel is made surely the budget will go and we can get more ideas thrown in there.

It was a little too concerned with homaging the original though.
