It's time to start calling the movie people, you're writing the script what happens ?

I've seen some amazing creative posts/script ideas on this forum, time to bust 'em out (and maybe Snyder, Goyer and Nolan will come across some and use them in the film LOL ).

Big props to anyone who makes substantially correct predictions !

On that note, my predictions in no particular order.

- initial meeting between BM and SM, very unfriendly, and by the end
they are uneasy allies.

- no actual physical confrontation between BM and SM ( save that for
a later film) BUT if there is a fight, it would involve BM weakening SM
somehow (like the other guy said, some recreation of Krypton's atmosphere
, maybe one of those kryptonian firearms?) in that case BM kicks SM's
ass.

- major plot device, salvaged Kryptonian tech from the crashed scoutship

- 2 villains, probably Luthor as the main villains with a super-powered
henchman (gotta have someone to go toe to toe with Supes, my pick
have said it heaps of times, Luthor uses the damaged genesis chamber
to create Bizarro -imperfect Kryptonian clone, who thinks he's Clark

- work in Diane Lane as Ma kent, when Bizarro goes "home" thinking

- Clark Kent meets Bruce Wayne, and of course, Lois lane meets Bruce Wayne.

- film ends with SM giving whatever salvaged tech was used against him,
to BM (some sort of re-imagining of Superman giving Batman the
kryptonite ring)

I could probably think about more, but I'm off to see Pacific Rim. Step up people, your turn. I bet your ideas are way better than mine.

Im not going to do the entire movie (or what i think will happen) but you read my mind with the salvaged kryptonian tech, i believe either batman will use it for an advanced armored suit to take down superman or atleast threaten him, or Lex will use it somehow to maybe build Metallo. But i definately like your idea of Lex creating Bizarro, i'd much rather have bizarro or possibly brainiac then Metallo. a way they could introduce brainiac is the goverment or lex is sending signals into space to try and contact other possible life forms out there. because if earth just found out there is an alien among us, either they will be fearful or they will want to contact other life. and maybe brainiac receives the signal or message from earth and the signal leads brainiac straight to earth. Or maybe brainiac should be saved for justice league? but you could really do that same story for Darkseid or Mongul or anyone really. But i'd much rather have Luthor as the main villain pulling the strings behind Metallo/Bizzaro/Brainiac.

But those are just some of my theories, im probably way off hahah

With you on all of those bro ! I reckon the salvaged Krypton tech is a nice way to keep continuity with MOS and explain the creation of other superbeings. Have to admit I stole the Bizarro idea from John Byrne's Man of Steel series from 1986, as an imperfect clone of Supes (without the annoying backwards talk).

The armour idea is a good one, maybe based on the armour that Zod threw
off when he first took flight.

I agree, Metallo would be hard to do (and a bit pointless) if there's no Kryptonite.

Braniac is a terrific idea for a villain, so many possibilities - like an artificial intelligence developed on earth (again from Salvaged Krypton tech) or an alien intelligence that maybe followed Zod to earth, or picked up a signal from the terraforming or the singularity created by Col. Hardy divebombing Zod's ship with the plane containing the baby escape ship (it may seem like I'm obsessed with the Krypton connection, but it just seems like the best way to provide continuity between films) -either way, I reckon that Benedict Cumberbatch would be ideal for the role.

I mean, if Braniac has the city of Kandor in a bottle, then picking up signals from Kryptonian ships would entice Brainiac to Earth to add some more Kryptonians to his collection.

You're dead right about a similar plot point working with respect to Mongul or Darkseid (hey, maybe they'll use "For the man who has everything" a classic Alan Moore Superman story, as source material).

Thanks again for the post !

Superman, Batman, Brainiac, Lex, Metallo can all be in the same movie imo. Nice video showing the concept with Affleck as Bruce Wayne as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nviH0aTqo7M

Really, don't you think that might be too many villains ? (like Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane, Batgirl and Robin, and Batman in that terrible Batman and Robin film). I'm not saying you're wrong, just that at first blush it seems like
an awful lot of bad guys.

Give us more detail, how would you work all those characters in ? (because remember that the Daily planet crew are back, and so is Diane Lane as Ma Kent)
Also, no kryptonite yet, so metallo looks unlikely (I'm not saying impossible) but not looking likely. Personally, I'm still pulling for Batman and Superman vs Luthor and Bizarro. Too many characters can wreck films (although having said that I thought Snyder did a good job handling a big cast in Watchmen) and Lord of the Rings also did well with a large group of characters.

Anyway, how would it work out ? Thanks for the youtube link.

peace.

while watching MOS i did notice that the kryptonian armor did resemble lex's battle armor

Im not sure on the possible plot points, I've honestly not read a Worlds Finest comic book (only justice league) but villian wise you need someone who can be a physical threat to Superman, and a more sneaky, cunning villain for Batman. And Lex in there somewhere. .. yeah this is going to be a complex undertaking.

I think it will feature an established Bruce Wayne going off the deep end for some reason, and he sees Superman standing in his way. Part of his intellectual growth will be learning for Zods murder and pleading with Bats t not do the same.

At the beginning of the movie Wayne Enterprises and Lex Corp are meeting in Metropolis to discuss rebuilding after Zod's attack. Clark and Lois are covering it for the Daily Planet. When Wayne Enterprise's staff arrives in Metropolis Bruce Wayne is not with them because he's skiing in Switzerland with a super model or something. After the events of Man of Steel public opinion is divided on Superman. The most vocal public defender of Superman is Lex Luthor. While covering the event Clark overhears Luthor discussing break ins and files missing from the offices. Believing Luthor to be an ally Clark decides to investigate as Superman. That's how Superman first meets Batman. They don't have a physical confrontation. Batman mostly keeps to the shadows, tells Superman his friend is not what he seems. Right before Batman slips away he calls Superman Clark. The next day Clark and Lois cover Bruce Wayne's arrival in Metropolis.

I like that idea with Brainiac! But i really hope they use, or atleast somewhat use that comic of bizarro. because you need someone who can go toe to toe with superman and then have a battle of wits with batman. Hell, luthor probably could do both if he had that big armoured suit, but i'd rather see another villain as well.

I would love to see it partially based on public enemies. Something like Lex frames Superman for an attack on him and the death of several of his staff. So Superman has to seek the help of the urban myth Batman, the world's greatest detective, to help clear his name. Then Lex hires "reformed" super criminals as his bodyguards and uses this charitable act, along with the rebuilding of Metropolis, to help him run for presidency. Something like that but more complicated as I am no writer.

Don't sell yourself short, Public enemies is good source material !

Something that occurred to me is Luthor's motivation. Especially since Zod had
a motivation that was understandable (yes the means were awful, but the end had some merit - the restoration of his people). I was thinking that maybe Luthor had someone he actually cared about get killed during the Superman vs Zod battle ?
It would be good to see a Luthor who wasn't just motivated by greed, ego
and the urge to be an irredeemable bastard - what about a Luthor who
hates Superman for a reason we can understand.

What you said about Luthor framing Superman, after all the destruction in
MOS, he probably wouldn't have to frame Supes, that battle probably killed
a few Lexcorp staff ( and I'm sure someone's got footage of Supes killing
Zod, which could be digitally touched up to look pretty incriminating).

Your idea of making Superman the bad guy, that's definitely something
Snyder and co should consider for BM v SM, and would certainly play
into developing a relationship with BM.

Yeah I like your idea of giving Lex human motivation to hate Superman, but I think the classic comic book motivation of jealousy is plenty human enough rather than having a loved one die in Metropolis. That's actually one of the reasons I want Cranston for Lex as that adds another thing for him to be jealous about, Superman has his youth.

This would be my take (reposting from a thread I started):

As far as the villains go - there does need to be two. With The Joker being the glue between them, somehow. The movie needs to start with another Joker-esque "push." He needs to be at the beginning of the movie, sending both Kal and Batman the same recorded message. It's tickle my fancy if the Joker mockingly admits to finding some him some "New Gods" to play with. The camera then jostles around a bit showing the Joker himself has been heavily tied up. Lex Luthor comes into focus asking Kal and Batman what f-ing jibberish the Joker is talking about. Clark knows. Lex asks the camera what Joker's mumblings about a coming "apocalypse" Because somehow, the Joker arranged, of all creatures, to have Lobo - imprisoned on Apokolips, broke out of prison and set loose on Earth. The Joker sets Batman with the task of finding, what ultimately ends up being being a cloning ship Zod used to get him to Earth. Meanwhile, while Lobo and the clone ship divides Superman and Batman, Lex capitalizes on that division somehow. Until Darkseid, Orion and Big Barda themselves come for Lobo.

After it's all said and done, Lex has his hands on some broken New God technology. Among the tech is a transponder Braniac is using to hone in on the Codex, not aware it's actually Clark. And somewhere on Earth, having telepathically controlled a Kryptonian clone during MoS, the real Zod awakens from his slumber literally somewhere in hell inside the Earth.

Because an evil land-grabbing baron can only be so believeable. I forgot who said this, but your hero can only be as good as his villain. NO ONE in the DC Universe is immune from the Joker. He is their version of cancer. Just as Loki is Marvel's version of cancer. But after getting his ass handed to him by Lobo, what better thing to drop on Kal than a fellow demigod that controls an entire prison planet? Or you can just make him slap an evil land baron on the wrist ...AGAIN.

-Movie starts with Clark watching a report about "the Batman" of Gotham city and thinking the guy is a nut, but Lois brings up the question of whether Clark is much different
-Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp start a venture to rebuild Metropolis
-Wayne is using the venture not only as a way to help but to also get a look into LexCorp's business ventures as he believes he may be planning something for Gotham
-The Daily Planet is covering this venture and this is when Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent first meet, despite coming from completely different backgrounds, they find that they really get along for some reason
-Wayne and Luthor agree that Superman can't be trusted and devise plans together to create a mechanism to deal with him if he ever got out of hand
-This mechanism eventually turns out to be Metallo, a half-human android who was created out of the terraformed Earth left behind by Zod, or as Lex calls it, Kryptonite. They know Superman is weak to it due to the events of MoS
-When Batman and Superman first meet they don't trust each other, with Batman believing Superman to be playing God and is acting as an anomaly he hasn't planned for and can't account for. Superman doesn't trust a man who won't show his face.
-Eventually they team up to stop Metallo and expose Lex for what he really is to the public

Weren't there rumors that Warner Bros. wanted to make the next Batman movie an Arkham Asylum movie? Maybe at the end of this movie Lex Luthor uses his connections to somehow to dump Batman in Arkham setting up his solo movie. This would be a way to separate this franchise even more from the Nolan series because you could re-introduce several of Batman's enemies. Maybe something takes Superman out of the picture too setting up some of the other JL members to step forward and address whatever threat is revealed.

That would definitely work./ What about Clark or Lois, being sent to Gotham to investigate and write a story about the Batman?

- I am totally with you on the use of something Kryptonian to help create the second villian ( personally, I reckon Lex salvages tech from the crashed scoutship - maybe the damaged genesis chamber being used to create Bizarro or Doomsday). Again, I'm not sure a fight with Metallo would be quite epic enough (although I'm biased, as he's one of my least favourite Superman bad guys).

I'm no so sure about Wayne and Luthor agreeing to work out an anti-Superman strategy, but then plenty of people are pushing that, so I could very well be wrong. On the other hand, Luthor inventing Kryptonite (from salvaged Kryptonian earth or tech or whatever) makes total sense.

A lot of folks are with you on some sort of business relationship between Lexcorp and Wayne enterprises - Again, I differ from most, I would go for buisness rivals. Maybe that leads to Batman doing some investigating of his own around Lexcorp - perhaps to find out what

Looking forward to Cranston as Luthor, think he's going to do the role proud.
(provided the character is well written, e.g. "Lex, was that you at the door ?"
" Yes, I am the one who knocks" so hopefully, a distinct character, not
just Heisen-Luthor).

I totally agree with you that the initial relationship between Supes and the Bat will be antagonistic, and lead to an uneasy alliance at the end of the film.

Great post dude.

Peace.

I think it wil open with a shot of metropolis being rebuilt. we see Lex leading the charge. blaming superman for all the death and destruction. he claims that this alien is evil and will destroy them all. most of the public agree.

we'll then see gotham, with Batman taking on his own villains, who, I dnt know, but it will be shown that this Batman is indeed different, older, and more experienced.

we will also see Bruce in the batcave watching footage of the supes vs zod battle. He hears the commentary by Lex, but he is not convinced supes is evil.

Lex gets his hands on some kryptonian tech from the crashed ships, creates new inventions, sells off said inventions to highest bidders. the rich get richer. Lex forms intergang and arms them with high tech weapons.

Lex also creates supervillains with the kryptonian tech, such as Metallo.

Wayne industries has a hand in rebuilding Metropolis, hence why bruce is there, and he investigates Supes intentions as Batman.

There is an attraction between Lois and Bruce, but she doesnt act on it

Bruce discovers during the rebuilding that Lex's intentions arent as good as he believed.

First meeting between Supes and Bats is forced by Bats, he wants to see for himself if this ''alien'' is evil or not. Its just a scrimmage match for Bats. Supes is surprised that a human can move so quick. He gives supes the opportunity to take him out, but supes doesnt do it. they part ways with an uneasy truce established.

Supes faces metallo for the first time, and loses because of the '' green K''. Metallo pounds him into the ground.Lex watches from Lex-corp and smiles.

Bats arrives in his batwing, knocks metallo away with missiles, and whisks supes off, unconscious from kryptonite poisoning. Lex throws a chair in anger.

Lex announces his intentions to the public to run for mayor. He is now saying all costumed heroes should be outlawed, and if he is elected, they will be in metropolis.

Lois and Clark investigate Lex, and get the dirt on him and release it to the public.

the public turns on Lex. Lex is furious and he release Metallo and intergang on the city. destruction follows.

Batman takes on intergang, and is blindsided by a blast from the high tech weapons. Supes arrives and returns the favor by helping Bats.

Supes discovers that lead shields him from K, and with the help of bats, he creates a lead lined suit, gloves, and face mask to protect himself from metallo.

Final showdown, supes and Bats vs Lex, intergang, and metallo.

final shot shows Batman and Superman talking on the roof of a skyscraper. Supes says, its been an honor....bruce.
without missing a beat, batman responds, likewise.....Clark. supes jaw drops.

Batman v. Superman Fight Scene:

The denizens of Gotham's dirty streets look up in surprise as Superman descends. He's a bright contrast with the drab buildings and the misty rain. His eyes scan the buildings, searching. He touches down on the ground. He turns.

There stands Batman, his cape draped over his shoulders, hiding his armor underneath.

BATMAN: I told you to leave Gotham.

SUPERMAN: I'm staying here until I figure out what exactly is going on. Those things - - I don't think they are kryptonian.

BATMAN: Those things killed four of Gotham's citizens when they landed on the freeway looking for you. Your presence here is a threat. Your power is unwanted and unneeded. And if you won't leave, I'll make you.

Superman looks unconvinced.

SUPERMAN: My presence is a threat? What about you? Have you made Gotham a better, a safer place? Or are all those freaks you fight attracted here by your presence?

Batman doesn't answer. Perhaps he doesn't know what to say. He looks beyond Superman, to an old run down movie theatre. Beside it, a dark alleyway.

BATMAN: Darkness isn't alien to Gotham. It was born here.

He draws back his cape, removes an armored plate from his chestpiece, revealing a glowing green piece of kyrptonite embedded in his armor.

Superman staggers back. He feels different. Doesn't understand.

BATMAN: This is a piece of your home. I'm going to use it to keep you out of mine.

Superman makes a desperate charge. The fight is on. But Superman's strength is draining. Batman scores some hits. Supes bleeds.

BATMAN: That's what it feels like to be human.

Superman grabs the metal plate and covers the kryptonite, driving Batman back against the wall. Batman struggles, unable to get free. Superman's strength is returning. Batman presses a few buttons on his belt.

The BATMOBILE roars around a corner and drives straight for them, firing a grappling hook that wraps around Superman. It drags him away, down the street.

Batman recovers, follows.

Superman recovers, sets his feet in the ground. The Batmobile's tires spin. The cable snaps. The car fires a few missiles at Supes, which explode, knocking him backwards. But he rises unharmed.

Then Batman is on him, on his back, arms around his throat. The kryptonite is close. With his last bit of strength Superman takes off, flies away, Batman still on him - - then he loses control, begins spiraling down towards a rooftop. Batman is forced to let go. He uses his cape to glide to safety.

Superman impacts on the roof, falling through several floors. His strength is drained. He needs sunlight. He needs energy. He staggers out a door into an alleyway. Falls to his knees.

There, in the alley, in the rain, are two red roses.

Batman drops from above. Knocks Superman down. Has his hands on his throat.

BATMAN: You're done. Never come back to Gotham. Come back and I'll finish what we started, I swear to you. I want you to remember, Clark. I want to remember the man who beat you. I want you to remember you're not all powerful. I want you to remember - -

Suddenly Superman has his hands on Batman's throat. He lifts Batman off his body, staggers to his feet, eyes filled with defiance. Batman punches him. Supes staggers back, crushing the roses under his feet. Supes opens his mouth as if to speak, but is unable to.

Batman attacks. The result is a fist-fight down crime alley. Batman scores more hits, but Superman's hits, weakened as they are, do more damage. Both are beaten, bloody. With a flying kick, Batman knocks Superman out into the street.

Then Superman unleashes his heat vision - - focused, not full power, but enough to leave Batman's chestplate red hot. Batman staggers back down the alleyway. Retreats.

The exertion was too much. Superman falls unconscious.

Batman removes his chestplate. Has the kryptonite in his hand. He gets to the Batmobile, gets in. Quickly re-suits with a spare suit of armor. Drives the Batmobile around to where Superman fell.

Superman is gone.

Suddenly the Batmobile is being lifted into the air, far into the skies above Gotham. Batman ejects. Glides.

Superman drops the Batmobile down into the Gotham Harbor far below. Batman glides into him, Kryptonite in his fist, beating him. Superman falls, but punches through Batman's glider-cape.

SUPERMAN: I fall, you fall.

Batman doesn't respond. They are continuing to fall. Together.

SUPERMAN: I can save us both. I can save everyone. You have to trust me.

Falling. The wind is too loud for Batman to speak. Superman is weakening, losing consciousness.

Batman throws the kryptonite away. Superman flies them to safety just before impact. Lands at a dockyard. Batman is breathing heavily.

Superman looks through some buildings.

SUPERMAN: The glowing rock is about two hundred yards that way, next to a trash heap.

For the first time, Batman registers real surprise.

SUPERMAN: Maybe you're right about me. Maybe I am a threat. [beat] You're concerned about my power. Sometimes I'm completely afraid of it. Sometimes there's nothing I want more than to be - human. [he wipes the blood from his chin] My father died in front of me. I could have saved him. But I didn't. Because he didn't think I should reveal what I could do - - I because I trusted him. Trust has costs. I've never felt more human than I did in that moment.

Batman says nothing.

SUPERMAN: I'm willing to trust you. Even though I'm pretty sure you are completely crazy.

BATMAN: Get out of Gotham.

Superman nods, disappointed. He flies away.

Batman stares after him, drenched by rain, deep in thought.

Dude, that's gold. If Goyer's script looks anything like that he owes you a writing credit unless.......you are actually David S. Goyer , in disguise !

I'm starting to see the potential for Metallo, since so
many people have suggested him as a villain. Personally I'm still hoping for Bizarro ( I could see a lot of great scenes with Bizarro thinking he's Clark,
and also if Lex creates him, using a damaged genesis chamber, and Lex
also creates Kryptonite, then he has a perfect weapon to use against both
Superman and his own creation).

LOve your final shot prediction, a nice mirror for MOS. Way to go dude,
applause and accolades ! I am in awe of your story, as it's simple (as
in not overly convoluted) but contains all the important character aqnd
plot elements, and you nail the mood -that last scene says it all, Superman movies end on a high note (I have no idea what people were on about who *****ed about the end of MOS).

Come on, admit it, you are Goyer aren't you unless .......you're actually Christopher Nolan !!!!

Magnificent.

Borrowing from Lex Luthor: Man of Steel.

We are presented with a Metropolis in the process of being rebuilt. Most infrastructure has been returned to the city, but the centre of the city is still cordoned off. Lex Luthor has sponsored the rebuilding of Metropolis, with Wayne Industries vying to help get the city back on its feet.

Lex Luthor is giving a speech about the dangers of Superman. We see quite a few supporters of Lex, people who have lost loved ones due to the events of Man of Steel. Lex Luthor believes that Superman is a danger; a rogue vigilante who is extremely dangerous. Unlike Gotham, Metropolis doesn't need vigilante, he proclaims.

He receives a call from one of the LexCorp scientists. A strange fragment of a radioactive substance was found in the center of Metropolis. Lex Luthor finds it interesting, "it's a piece of Earth that appears to have been fully tereformed" he is told. Luthor and his team decide to investigate the Indian site, the other place that was subject to the world engine. As they travel closer to the site, then find strange plants. From the same planet as the invaders, and Superman, it seems. They have grown from the tereformed soil of Earth. They travel further, and the plants are dying ... as they travel closer to the tereformed area, more of the Kryptonian life is dead. In the center there is a green glow. The same as that of the shard found in Metropolis. A Geiger counter explodes after being pointed at it, "No, sir, it's dangerous. You can't ...". Luthor ignores this person, and picks up one of the pieces of Krypton. He waves it around, seeing the Kryptonian life around him shrink and almost reel in pain as he got closer. He tells his team to put it in a container, and fly it back to Krypton. He keeps a slither for himself.

That night he is meeting Bruce Wayne for dinner. They celebrate a success reconstructive project. Bruce is a scruffy looking gentleman, swaying as he seemingly has had too much to drink. Lex Luthor, being a genius, is aware of Bruce Wayne's dual life. Bruce Wayne seemingly knows that Lex Luthor knows his identity. The discussion shifts to Superman. "He's a vigilante Bruce ... a vigilante that kills". Bruce's eyes become more serious. "We can't have him policing the world. Who is he to decide who lives or dies. If he'll kill one of his own, imagine what he thinks of us. If he thinks of us. To him, it might be like stepping on an ant". "What do we do about it" Bruce says somberly. Lex Luthor reaches into his pocket, for a lead lined container. He hands Bruce the container. "Our scientists think that this could stop him. I think that it would be in our mutual best interests if he was stopped".

(I'll do Part 2 in another post. I don't want to risk having to re-write this).

(This isn't as well written as the first half. I'm sure there's a better way to approach a Batman/Superman punch up)

Batman goes out that night to attract Superman. He fires an IR signal into the air, which Superman picks up on immediately. Superman looks at Batman, confused. "Wait, you're that nut from Gotham. I can't have vigilantism in my town". "Your town?" Batman replies "You're unchecked. You're dangerous. And you're willing to kill. I can't let you operate like that". Superman flies slowly to Batman "I don't want to have to stop you ... Bruce Wayne?". "You peeked" Batman replies, pulling a glowing green rock from his pocket. Superman keels over in pain, and Batman gives him a solid punch. Superman drops to he's knees, trying to deflect Batman's gadgetry while clutching at his chest. "Declare your loyalties" Batman says to Superman, who is lying almost unconscious. "If you don't, I'll have to put you down myself"

Lex Luthor begins building an anti-Kryptonian robot. Fueled by the reserves of 'Kryptonite' found in India, it is designated Metallo.

...

Well, more stuff happens. Batman and Superman team up to stop Luthor, the Metallo. I might finish it up at some point.
