BvS Write-A-Scene for the Superman/Batman movie

Here's a teaser/trailer. I tried a different approach where we just see it from Batman's perspective. The trailer only shows footage from the first half of the film, in order to generate the audience's interest (how's it going to end?!). Deliberately a little thin on details so that people get really curious.

[A teenage boy stands in darkness at enormous statuesque graves, marked MARTHA and THOMAS. Lightning strikes and the boy is smoothly replaced by BATMAN in the shot, in the same pose beside the same grave.]

WAYNE (v.o.)
I've spent the greater part of my life dedicated to the idea that I could rise above mortality.

[BATMAN glides over the city with an extended cape. He folds his wings and begins to dive.]

WAYNE (v.o.)
Through theatrics that feed off the superstition of cowards. But all that I am as Batman--it's all an intricate illusion.

[In the final moments of his dive, he opens the cape and lands, very quietly beside a brick alley. He looks around the corner; several men have cornered a young woman. BATMAN tosses a smoke grenade, which also uses laser light to project a false silhouette of BATMAN in the smoke. A criminal turns to run away from the gas, but finds his peers already incapacitated except for one, who BATMAN holds by the throat from the roof above.]

[Cut to the batcave. The silhouette of WAYNE (head hung low, dressed in the batsuit but with the mask pulled back like a hood) looks across the cave at the silhouette of ALFRED. The cave is an enormous marvel of nature, with a high rugged walls of massive stone and a smooth, polished floor, whose deep blackness reflects the white light like ice. Lights are positioned around the edges of the cave, illuminating various sections enclosed in reinforced glass: a supercomputer with three 80" 4K monitors, a cryptography station, a dedicated chemistry laboratory, an emergency care and recuperation area, a car that's clearly seen a lot of action, and a wall of assorted highly advanced gadgets.]

[Superman flies up the gravity beam and through the World Generator, causing it to explode.]

WAYNE (v.o.)
HE... is not an illusion.

[As he speaks, WAYNE, still in the batsuit across from ALFRED, looks up. He's heavily bearded. He's been in the cave for weeks but hasn't responded to Gordon's requests for help via the bat signal. He's extremely conflicted, tortured and discouraged by the idea that he's barely a flea next to Superman.]

ALFRED (v.o.)
If you fear him, do something. Do something, because if you don't, there's not another person on Earth who can.

[Wayne stares at the screens of the supercomputer, which show buildings crumbling as Superman and Zod tear through them.]

WAYNE
Our greatest monuments... nothing but towers of sand to him.

[Close shot of ALFRED's face, visibly worried about WAYNE, who he's never truly seen so afraid.]

ALFRED
How can BATMAN do nothing?

WAYNE (v.o.)
What can I do, ALFRED, to a god?

ALFRED (in a hushed whisper.)
Build.

[BATMAN and LUTHOR, dressed in similar mech-suits approach SUPERMAN, bloodied and weak and tattered on the ground.]

LUTHOR (furious as he lands a final heavy, bone-breaking punch on SUPERMAN as he tries to rise.)
I DONT BELIEVE, SUPERMAN!

[The screen goes black.]

LUTHOR (v.o., breathless but eerily calm, emotionless)
No. I don't believe in gods.

[Summer 2016]

Batman: wanna fight?

Superman: nope? Yu wanna fight?

Batman : nope

Superman: wanna be super best friends forever?

Batman:kk

( cut to montage of busy crime fighting day which finishes with su setting and ice cream by a pier)

Batman/superman: BEST CRIME FIGHTING DAY EVER!!!!

i've read a slightly different version of that somewhere but anyway it's still fun seeing those.:funny:

Is it wrong that my favorite part of that picture is that the manipper remembered to add Supes to the reflection in the background?

I just wrote piece. It takes place shortly after Batman and Superman fight. Lex is addressing the citizens of Metropolis. Don't know if it's any good.

LEX:

This city has seen finer days, this is true. And while I cannot guarantee salvation and peace of mind. I can however promise you this; we will preserver. We will endure and we will live to see another day not only because we are strong, but because we have to. There is no point in dwelling in the past. The days of yesterday must be kept behind us, as we strive for a brighter tomorrow. No longer can we sit and wait for peace to come to us. No longer can we stand and watch as our homes are stripped from our very grips. When will this end? How many more lives are you willing to sacrifice? I say enough is enough. It is time we come together, as people, as a human race and face the problem head on. They don’t belong here! These people are a threat to our security. You’ve seen what they’re capable of. You’ve witnessed it firsthand. They are not to be taken likely. They are psychotic and dangerous. They aren’t like you and I. They are lunatics who seek nothing more than attention. I know it’s easy to run away and turn a blind eye to the situation. To hide in a cave and fear living. But that isn’t who we are. That isn't what we were made for. It’s time to take back what belongs to you. Your home. Your peace. Your sanity.

Has anyone seen Justice League:War yet? There is a sequence in it with Batman throwing everything he has at Superman and Supes kinda of just toying with him..Leading to Batman telling the Green Lantern that "He's pissed off, we can't stop him" There must be a scene like this in the movie it was awesome. It shows that Batman can keep up with him, but really can't stop him. I loved it. That whole movie would actually work really well as a Justice League live action film.

EDIT* Found the video on YouTube, take a look.

"He built this company from the ground up. And he can do the same..for Metropolis and all of America."

"After the Zod invasion, Lex Luthor made sure millions of Americans had food and shelter, including my family."

"I grew up in Metropolis. Along with Gotham, New York, and Star City, these are shining examples of our great nation."

"..I'm Lex Luthor. And I approve this message."

"Shut up." Bruce howled at the TV as he picked up the remote and turned it off. These Lex Luthor ads would piss him off every time he turned on the local news. Was the guy campaigning for President or something? What did Lex Luthor actually do for the country before all those aliens came? Nothing. But he'll take credit now and like the gullible fools these people are, they will play right into his trap.

Bruce sighed as he stood up. He did agree with Lex on one thing. Superman was a possible threat. He did indeed destroy half of the city while trying to save it. But this wasn't Lex's business. Lex is a corporate scum. The kind of people that Bruce hates to be around but has to because it's best for Wayne Enterprises. Bruce walked over to the window and looked out it, the sun shining in his face. Lex Luthor was the kind of man that his father stood against. But..maybe he was right. Or maybe Bruce was just thinking too much. Suddenly, he heard the door swing open behind him and out popped Alfred.

"Your coffee, sir." Alfred walked over with a plate on his hands and a coffee mug stood in the middle of it. Bruce nodded as he picked up the coffee mug and took a sip out of it, looking back out the window. Alfred turned to walk out just as Bruce spoke.

"Alfred."

"Yes, sir?"

"What do you think of Superman?"

"I think he's a hero. I'll be the first to admit sir, I was skeptical, but he did save the human race from extinction. I'll be bloody welcome to accept him as one of our own." Alfred smiled after speaking the last sentence.

"Huh..." Bruce took another sip of his coffee and let out a small cough. "..Do something for me, Alfred."

"Yes, sir."

"Get me the earliest flight to Metropolis."

"It'll be done, sir." Alfred turned and walked out of the room, the door slamming slightly behind him.

"..You're right about him being one of us. And I'm going to find out exactly which one of us he is." Bruce said to himself before taking another whip of coffee.

(I just downloaded Celtx to any other scenes I do will be in a usual script format. I just threw this together in notepad for the time being.)

aaaaaand ACTION!

Superman:- "Hello little Batfella"

Batfella:- "Hello Superbloke"

WonderClunge:- "I'm hungry, can I get a burger?"

PerrysWhite:- "So, you three are going to save the world are you, from Lootor and Danksides?"

TheFlasher:- "No, they will need my help a lot, because I'm so fast, and also help from Ackwachap!"

ZacharySniders:- "Cut! Cut! cut! What the heck!! who wrote this tish!! I'm out of here! I'm going to go and direct a faze seven Marvelous film instead! it will be the one about the Blank Window lady, or an ant boy or something, it will be very funny and witty and all the ten year olds will love it!"

LorisLaim:- "I'm too old for this, I'm going home!"

That's an idea.

More a rough idea than anything else. I would truly like a scene where something truly sensitive (information on a USB drive? Macguffin in a box? The briefcase from Pulp Fiction) has to be retrieved. Batman, obviously, feels that he needs to personally take it, however the compound would be heavily guarded.

So Superman goes in the "front door", so to speak. Security, and A LOT of it (perhaps a military compound to justify the firepower, or Lex's wallet and a bunch of mercenaries?) rushes out to counter Superman. Cue Superman destroying the equipment and just taking everything they have. I don't know if it could be done right, but I'm picturing Superman being shot at from every direction, while yawning.

Meanwhile, Batman sneaks in the back, since obviously Superman demands all of security's attention (or he could take down a skeleton crew that stayed behind to guard the previously mentioned Macguffin) and retrieves the goal.

Then he simply walks out the front door to groaning guards and destroyed equipment, with Superman waiting.

"Took you long enough." Superman smirks.

"Not all of us are faster than a bullet Clark."

I like this a lot.

Last scene of batman vs superman

Doomsday killed superman and superman killed doomsday.

Batcave

Batman(heavily injured after fighting with doomsday) at the batcomputer with alfred beside him

Bruce: He's gone, the gods have killed each other and that luthor have suceeded.
Alfred: suceeded in what master bruce?
Bruce: he was using doomsday and the pod he arrived in to lure something else to Earth
Alfred: whatever it is, you can stop it right?
Bruce: im half retired, and only a normal human, there's not much hope, even the the civilians have lost hope for the future. Their hero is killed
Alfred: why dont you step up and be their hero then?
Bruce: its different, he was a public hero, i was an urban myth for five years until recently
Alfred: surely, you have a plan for this mysterious force?
Bruce: not really, i detected soundwaves from the direction luthor had been luring this thing for. It sounded something like Dark Side or something
Alfred: so what does the batman plans to do about it?
Bruce: its not just the batman anymore. I cant handle this alone. I need help

Bruce looks at the batcomputer screens
One shows grant gustin flash saving people during doomsday fight
One shows security footage of stepehn amell arrow breaking in to some place
One shows wonder woman during her brief fight with doomsday
One shows aquaman on a whale declaring war against the military, think the world engine was their idea since it killed lots of fish.

Bruce looks up and says "Time for Justice"
The camera zooms up to the upper world in the clouds
A green flash speeding away.
The ring travelling to Hal Jordan from abin sur narrowly escaping the hands of the first parademon to arrive on earth

Direct springboard for justice league.

In the ending montage of the movie, Lex goes to his computer to see why Metallo's programming randomly malfunctioned earlier on, which gave Metallo back its free will, allowing the vengeful John Corben to start rampaging and causing chaos in Metropolis.

On his computer keyboard, Lex finds this:

Lex lets out a sigh of anger knowing exactly who it was that messed up his plans, presumably all for the sake of chaos.

I'd like it if they have a scene where Batman is wrong, and Superman says something, qoute from a comic, I'm not sure what title. "Can you imagine what it would be like not to be able to hug someone you love as hard as you can, knowing you could kill them?"

Then Batman has a surprised reaction and actually thinks about it. He just stays silent. But Batman will still remain, at times, cold and continue to insult Superman.

In Lex's office, one of Lex's men says something that ticks him off....

....so Lex asks the man to get down on the ground and lie on his back, which he does.. ...and then....

...until the man on the floor is no longer making any noise.

(Everyone else in the room remains silent, not daring to watch or speak up, in fear of their own lives.)

Awesome stuff, Gamingboy. I have an idea for a flashback scene between young Clark and Lex Luthor as childhood friends crossing paths and why Lex ultimately hates Superman and knows who Superman's secret identity is...

I have a cool idea in mind so I hope it will translate over to writing. Compliments of GAMINGBOY for inspiration to write. AWESOME, AWESOME thread!

WARNER BROTHERS LOGO

FADE IN

--Arial view--
METROPOLIS.

A faint eerie glow from our over-sized yellow sun glistens behind a thick, musky cloud of dust that has spread throughout a once beautiful city skyline.

Behind it, piercing blue skies of what would of been a brisk summer day.

Hundreds of pieces of office paper happily dance through the heavy air of sad death.

--A quick shot of a flock of WHITE DOVES fleeing elsewhere.

[CLOSE UP]

CAMERA 1
--Rubble--
A single NIKE shoe; laces untied; corroded with powdery dust of falling debris.

CAMERA 2
A Teddy Bear; one eye shattered; barley recognizable from the manifestation of burning ash.

[/CLOSEUP]

--Inside ground level of a hotel lobby; shattered glass everywhere--

--Silence & Muted--like a 1920's picture film--

The camera slowly moves closer and closer towards two firetrucks speeding through the city
streets in the distance.

--Dramatic slow motion--NO SOUND--

Fire Fighters hanging on the sides of their fire trucks; commotion; ringing sirens and screaming in bravery
as the rotating glow of orange and red sirens pierce through the alleyways of a once
crowded intersection as CITY-RESCUE races against time to find survivors of this fatal alien invasion.

--A whispering VOICE-OVER is heard--

VOICE
My city. My poor, poor city. Ruined.

--Lens-flare-- to a glossy sky-scrapper window where we can only makeout a set of blood-shot eyes reflecting back at us;
stalking, gazing at the surreal damage and destruction.

VOICE
I should have known this day would come. Years of power. Decades of hard work. Gone.

--PAUSE--

VOICE
--SCREAMS--
IMBECILE!

--Back-shot of this figure looking out at the Metropolitan skyline. Standing spine towards the camera with his hands behind his back.

The reflection this time ricocheting off the adjacent window as we see a "LEXCORP" billboard shadowing the beam of sunlight
on the floor beneath.

--Head tilts towards a flat-screen television mounted in the corner of the room. News coverage and reporters seen across the globe bringing us this special news bulletin.

VOICE
--WHISPER--
Nobody threatens war against LEX LUTHOR and lives to see another day..

LEX LUTHOR
--SCREAMS-
..NOBODY!

--CLOSEUP shot at the reveal of LEX LUTHOR as his face escapes a silhouette of himself against the wall beside him.

LEX LUTHOR:
What nerve. Petty alien. I warned it. I threatened it. In the end, it just couldn't help itself, could it?

--LEX stumbles over to his abandoned office chair. Throws it aside. LEXCORP evacuated. LEX leans over with both arms on his desk, hands shaking.
He slowly reaches under his top drawer and pulls out a double-shot glass as he pours a flow of WHISKEY to the brim.

--Putting the wine glass up to his lips; stops for a brief second-- smells the WHISKEY around his nose--

--SMIRKS--

LEX LUTHOR
Clark Kent..

--PAUSE--

..is going to wish he had never been born....

--FLASHBACK--

To be continued..

From recent reports, looks like they are taking the Lex/Clarks childhood friends, Smallville connection afterall:word:

i'm watching Man Of Steel right and after watching the "You are not alone" scene, i think it would be pretty cool to have a flashback in BvS with Bruce watching Zod's message sitting in the Batcave and another of Lex watching it in his office

If the first trailer had something like that I would not be surprised. If it showed Bruce and Lex both watching what Zod and Superman did to Metropolis.

More of a guess of what Stone/Cyborg's cameo will be like

He's the star football player that makes the winning play in a Metropolis/Gotham game Bruce Wayne is attending and Clark Kent covers to listen in on Wayne. We get a brief glimpse at the post game interview, someone asks Stone if he has come up with a nickname yet and he jokingly says he's a real life Superman. Reporters chuckle, Clark smiles and it's clear that maybe there are people that he has inspired and maybe not everyone hates the idea of him after the events in Metropolis. Then Clark super-hears Bruce talking about something important elsewhere, and he leaves. Short cameo over. Keeps Superman in focus. Maybe later you see a shot of Stone injured during one of the action sequences, maybe not.

A Kryptonian walks into a bar with a chicken under one arm and a toilet plunger in the other...

Batman is about to fight Superman in the heart of Gotham...

When suddenly Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Martin Manhunter, Flash and Green Lantern show up to say that's naughty :o
