LOL, the comic book version looks like a muppet, not the face of evil.
Also didn't any of you wonder while watching JC's The Thing.....think gee i would love see what went on in the Norwegian camp....or am I the only one.
I find it odd that this movie is getting such unnecessary negative flak, and i am not only talking about from this forum but others i read. Of course it will look that same as JC's because it happens at the same time, and having the same music is a plus for me. You might be the only one.
It was pretty self explanatory in Carpenter's version.
Nope, I thought the same thing myself when I saw the film for the first time. People just need to quit their whining and *****ing. The ones hating on it are going to see it as well so everyone should just accept the fact that the film got made in the first place. I, for one, am glad we'll be able to see the new Thing & the '82 Thing back to back.
?? they're showing them back to back?
I filmed it in a such a way that if you delete the end titles and JC opening titles you could make it into one long film. I even tried that in the edit and it worked.
A day of press for #theThingprequel Felt good to talk about a movie I'm very excited about!
I don't know about in movie theaters, but when you buy the new Thing, you can watch it back to back with the '82 Thing.

Here's the Flak..."what can you do with the characters/ dynamic that has not been done by JC"
The dynamic of being in a closed space in a hostile landscape, not trusting your fellow mates in a small group was really nailed on the head by JC.
I just don't know what there is to do here.
Like I said still a huge fan , and still going to see it, but consider the gauntlet thrown down.
Pretty cool! I really think people should start giving this a chance.A little bit of new footage/pics when you visit the site and click around:
