If you ask me we should not have to. I am with THWIP if Sony cared they would have made it more affordable right from the start. So **** Sony & I am not wasting my time complaining to them. I think it is a stronger message when Sony sees the #s of PS3s rather then people wasting their time complainign to a company that did not care to begin with.

How is 600 bucks not affordable? They are taking a loss on the machine as it is in order to make it affordable. The first DVD player I bought was 579.99 and that was back in 1998.

Would I spend 600 bucks on a new game machine? No, but not because of the price, because I am not dumb enough to buuy a launch machine Unless I can work one for free like I usually do, I will not get machine at launch.

600 bucks is less than a weeks wages, it is affordable. Unless of course you are a college kid or younger, an in that case you really have no business spending your limited income on things like this.

For me personally the price is not really a problem. If I wanted one Id get one. Im thinking more along the lines of the casual / general gamers who are not loyal to one specific company. Everyone I know at least is pretty much one & everyone looks at prices etc people just want to spend their money wisely & you know when situations like you can get a 360 & HD-DVD Drive for pretty much $100 dollars or less then the PS3 & its Blu-Ray you can bet people will be thinking twice before maknig any kind of decision & if you ask me with the 360s huge list of games & the stuff coming soon right now the 360 & Wii has more going for them then the PS3. But I am sure Sony will not have to much of a problem since most Americans are idiots when it comes to this stuff most will buy it just to have it

It's not that simple. People don't have $600 per week spare, or else money would never be a problem. They have other monetary commitments. Rent/mortgage payments. Food. Car costs etc.

Is Microsoft a loving company now? Cuz I for one can sure as hell not see them as any better than Sony. Nintendo is the only company that really cares about their fans, and this is coming from a "Sony fanboy". I've never heard of a game system that had a significantly different price in America and Japan, has this ever happened before? If the American PS3 is still $600 at launch, I might as well spend $40-$60 on import taxes, and get me a Japanese PS3, because there's no region encoding bull**** anymore. And who got raped in the ass until they almost bled to death from "backwards capability"? You only get two guesses.

sorry I don't bow down to you, an idiotic MS fanboy who thinks he's the god of this forum, and don't reply if you say I'm "TOO MUCH OF A MORON TO BOTHER ANSWERING." ******. I wonder if you're such an ******* in real life.

Backwards Compatible game systems also have a leg up on non BC systems. In the respect of game libraries that is.

How is MS doing in that department now? I know they had some games BC at launch, and I heard that they were going to be getting quite a bit more. Have they?

F**K YEAH

Analysts say that Sony will be putting a price cut for the U.S. on the table soon, maybe at a new Sony confrence on October 19th?

What do the analysts say about the UK? That we're still getting screwed, as usual?

Curse our strong economy.

Of course they will, anyone who says that they would not do that is talking right out of their ass

As far as I know they are not making much effort at all. Shame
