A wild theory here but what if Shawn is adopted and has a twin who was adopted by Yang? The twin would then of course be Yin and Yins relationship with Yang would parallel with Shawns relationship with his father in that both his father and Yang are big on rules and procedures while Shawn and his twin are both firmly against having rules and prefer doing things their own way.

That would be trippy as hell, I doubt Shawn is adopted though.

I'm thinking the coroner, Woody, is Mr. Yin. The actor who plays him, Kurt Fuller, is a bit plump. Look at Mr. Yin's body type.

Plus Fuller is a bit of a big actor to just be doing a recurring cameo. I'm thinking the picture is a red herring. Woody is a coroner, and an older guy. Perhaps he is Mr. Yang's husband and Mr. Yang met Shawn at a police function or something along those lines?

Nestor Carbonell, last seen flying away from The Island on Lost, has signed on for a multi-episode arc on Psych, Fancast reports.

The 42-year-old actor, best known for his roles on Lost, Suddenly Susan and The Tick, will play Declan Rand, a criminal profiler who becomes a rival for Shawn (James Roday).

The fifth season of Psych premieres on USA July 14.

Reps for Carbonell and Psych did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment.

A Richard Alpert and Shawn Spencer rivalry? Oh hells yes.

Oh, I can't wait for that. I love Nestor Carbonell. The role sounds like fun, too. It's about time someone who could genuinely challenge Shawn came along.

So did anyone watch the premiere last night? I was surprised by the amount of physical comedy in the episode and I loved every minute of it, also my favorite part had to be lawyer Gus, I also liked that Jules was still working through the traumatic event that happened to her in last seasons finale. It's great to have this show back, I can't wait for next week.

Awesome opener. One of the funniest episodes in recent memory. I mean lots of laughs.

And Jules looks hotter than ever. The darker hair works alot.

I enjoyed it. The Shawn/Gus banter was great. Especially the part about Michael Jackson having learned how to fake his death from Lisa Marie (though unfortunately Elvis died two years ago). :lmao:

Haha, I loved that part. "I'm not having this conversation, Gus. I'm never having this conversation with you."

Everything with Ken was hilarious. The police department should force Shawn to take some cultural sensitivity classes. :)

Great season premiere and hilarious ep. This and White Collar were well worth the wait.

"I now know why my father wouldn't let me take karate classes, Gus. he was afraid my body was a human weapon. That I would rip out his heart with my fists."

This was a really strong opening for the season. I'm not usually a fan of sight gags, but this totally sold me on them.

"Santonio Holmes." Haha, after the first half of the episode, it just felt so right. :hehe:
