I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The show has been well-cast so far, so I can't imagine they'd willingly s*** the bed in the final hours just because she said she's a fan.

I certainly hope not. I'm with you I will give them a chance with this. They haven't disappointed me yet. But this just is very out of left field. And like you said I hope they aren't just doing it because she's a huge fan and they wanted to reach out to her. That would annoy me. We will have to see.

They've said one of the main inspirations for the series (aside from Psycho) is Twin Peaks. This is honestly the kind of casting choice I could see David Lynch making.

I was hoping this was a bad joke. Honestly not digging this news. It's got me little concerned about the final season. Why would TPTB cast a popular singer like Rihanna to play somewhat of an iconic character? She seems very out of place in this kind of show. Hopefully she'll be able to disappear in the role and allow us to forget that we're watching Rihanna attempting to act. When it came to the casting of Marion Crane Rihanna was the last person I'd think of .

After watching Lady Gaga on AHS everyone should pump their brakes. I thought that was crazy last year when that was announced. Turns she is also a really good actress, so good that she was recognized by the Emmy's I think. Whatever it was she was damn good in the role. I hope Rihanna can do the same here and deliver a memorable performance.
