Hopefully that's not the case. After the Dark Knight I don't know why they'd do that. Then you've got Terminator 4 coming out the same summer, Bale should be a big deal right now.

I don't think Depp and Bale have many scenes together so it would be hard to market it as a showdown.

Washington and Crowe didn't have many either in American Gangster. For that matter neither did Pacino and De Niro in Heat. It would just be cooler if it was advertised as a showdown. Or give them equal billing even if the movie isn't really like that. Gives the movie some aura, some must see value besides the details of it.
