Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Hmm... don’t really see that. But, it’s hard to cast Roman. He’s got such weird close-set beady eyes, and that nose is really unique.

I think he looks similar enough.

The resemblance to Bruce Lee there is uncanny.

Who is the woman in the bikini in the 2nd pic? Is that the real Sharon Tate? But that can't be, because the image looks too high quality. But it doesn't look like Margot.

What is that psychedelic image of Margot Robbie dancing in front of that black and white vortex in the trailer? Does anyone have any stills or gifs of that?

I feel like I'm the only one who thinks he should've won for Django Unchained, another one he wasn't even nominated for. It was unlike anything we'd ever seen from him before.

Yeah, Django is my top Leo performance, just barely edging out The Revenant and The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Oh that is most definitely Sharon Tate. They had high-resolution photography in the '60s (or for that matter '30s), it's moving images that were grainier. I believe that was from a famous photoshoot she and Polanski did in Cannes. The bathing suit Margot is wearing is a replica of it.

As for the black and white thing? I think it is Tarantino giving an overt nod to Austin Powers (he is a fan of Mike Myers after casting him in Inglourious Basterds). I think it was inspired by a similar scene in a Tate movie (maybe Valley of the Dolls? It's been so long since I watched it I can't remember). But if you want a gif of it from the QT movie:

Thanks. I thought it reminded me of Austin Powers. I hope that scene is in the actual movie and more extended.

She doesn't even look like Margot in that gif. A great transformation.

James Marsden character has not been revealed yet:

Calling it now, he will be playing James Couburn. Couburn was best friends with Bruce Lee and often was seen at her (Tate's)house parties.

I was gonna say "no" but then I thought of Coburn's lips and chin and how you could change Marsden's hair and it would be pretty spot on.

The 12 movies you must absolutely, positively see this summer (yes, including 'Avengers')

The skinny: With two A-list actors, Tarantino explores a pair of polar opposites in L.A. circa 1969. Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) starred on a popular cowboy show, yet can’t transition to the big screen. He’s “a man full of inner turmoil and self-pity for not being in a better position, career-wise. But as is Rick’s way, he blames everybody but himself,” Tarantino says. And Rick’s “indestructible” stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt) is a World War II hero and one of the deadliest guys alive. “He could kill you with a spoon, a piece of paper or a business card. Consequently, he is a rather Zen dude who is troubled by very little.”

Even with that little bit of character info, still no idea what to make out of this film. Which is good.

Great little quote but for a second I thought that was from the Superhero Hype news page. That's the type of title that would show up there now.

I hope I'm not the only one noticing this but does anyone else think the Hype's news page has gone down hill in the past couple months?

Yup!

Thank God. I can barely tolerate it now. I don't see how Brave New World applies to comic book movie news. I thought that's what Comingsoon.net was for?

Mini rant: I get it. Internet news is changing and it seems more like pop culture news but for God's sake, can there be better article titles than "Save Every Dollar You Have And Buy This Flash Gordon Statue" or an entire article on Bran's creepy stare. That's not news. And Game of Thrones has nothing to do with comic books!

I don't know how the hype held off for so long. But now it's almost like every other clickbait pop culture news site. I don't need to mention all the changes since hopefully many here are aware. I can understand changing and if you have to pump out more articles but please can you be more selective and have quality control? They got an entirely new writer's staff it seems and what they write at times are dregs. Just have some dignity like you used to have.

It was the lack of reporting over Aquaman's success that 'rattled me', they've never been great (and always been slow in reporting events in comparison to rivals), but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt....just.

I've always seen them as more just passing along news from other sites in one place for solely about comic books and adaptations. Not really a scoop site or to break any news. They were modest. Very solid for what it was. Now they're just bad.

Luke Perry’s Son Jack Will Appear with His Father in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Jack Perry will act alongside his father, the late Luke Perry, in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The professional wrestler, 21, opened up about the experience on Chris Jericho’spodcast Talk is Jericho.

“He’s like, ‘I want you to be in the same film or collection of footage that I’m in,’ and he was really adamant about it,” Jack said. “I was like, ‘Alright dad, I’ll do it.’”

He continued, “My dad was so excited about that. That kind of reinvigorated him and reenergized him.”

“He said, ‘If I never work again, I’m happy with this,’” Jack explained.

As for working with Tarantino, Jack said, “Tarantino is a really cool guy.”

“Tarantino told me, ‘I handpicked your dad for this,’ I guess because his role was kind of symbolic,” Jack said. “He definitely knew he wanted my dad for it.”

Funny that the posters within the movie are way better made than the ones for the actual film.
