Days of Future Past Question about DOFP Premiere in NYC on May 10th

Please let this be WAY better than Winter Solider, and I am a fan of that movie!

I want to know if Jennifer Lawrence/Mystique had a lot of more awesomeness we did not see from the trailers and clips?

Yeah, she's a big part of the story.

Sorry, SuperJediHero, but after today I will consider myself a lucky man if I never have to be anywhere near a J.Law fan so long as I live.

I was not able to get in to the red carpet/first 500 event. But the actors did stop by and took pictures/signed autographs with us. They were wonderful--just so patient and very sweet to the fans, especially Hugh, Michael and James who spent at least 10 minutes going through the line.

Absolutely had a blast, even if I didn't see the movie tonight. Two more weeks!

Glad you made it there anyway! I just made it, when we got to our section, we were one of the last groups in.

And hopefully we'll find TWayne soon...he was there all night and had no voice left when we last saw him.

Please don't tell me Jennifer Lawrence wasn't good.

She was wonderful. She actually came right to the fan section before she came to the press section. I saw her take a picture with a little kid. She looked like she was playing with the crowd down on one end. She seems like an absolute sweetheart.

Her fans were as annoying as ****. JP can tell it better, since he was surrounded by them. But most of them hadn't even seen an X-Men movie and were just there for her, and they were really annoying about it.

JUST got back from NYC. We got lost on the way home because we were completely scatterbrained.

Never been more exhausted in my entire life that i remember. Absolutely grueling for me lol.

Haha Yea Danoyse, I yelled a bit too much at the carpet. I dont normally but these fans really sucked to be honest lol. I was a bit upset lol. I never got to ask my legitimate questions, or answer anything!

I got my fair share of autographs, I really wanted you guys to come down behind me or hand me something to sign, but it was sheer chaos! Maybe you got something a lil extra cool, I havnt read back too far in this thread yet lol.

again pleasure meeting you all, even though we were all dead tired!

OH the WORST PART of the whole night... we had to sit FRONT row for the movie. the VERY FRONT! Talk about a pain in the neck. With my whole body in pain as it was, i was looking forward to relaxing and finally watching this film.

NOPE, caused even more pain and headache, the 3D was atrocious at that angle, and the picture was completely blurred. I had to look left to right to see what was happening and missed most of the action.

Very Disappointing after waiting since 4am.

From what I remember and actually SAW of the movie, it was amazing. X2(in particular) and First class combined into one!

I was so late getting to the theater because we could barely walk. We still had all of our camping gear with us, so I didn't get to be in the same screening as Danoyse. Our theater and crowd were terrible!

and No special intro from any cast members either, argh lol....

Omg, I had 20 minutes after leaving the theater to get to the Port Authority and make the last bus for the night. I ran all the way there. And I hadn't anything to eat or drink for hours

I made it...but I nearly threw up trying to catch my breath. I'm just getting over a cold too, so that didn't help either.

It was definitely better at The Wolverine screening last summer when they handed out all the free food and drinks to everyone. Sheesh.

Glad you made it! It was great meeting you! Were you in theater 7 too?

Oh no way!!! I figured they turned up in both theaters. That sucks. :csad:

Our seats were fine, but there's no reason to see it in 3D. The movie is fine without it.

Glad I didn't listen to the people who said you needed a ticket to get in cuz I totally got in :p they didn't even check or ask for tickets

And people were offering to buy those tickets. They didn't even check them.

When everyone registered for tickets, the confirmation said they were needed to get in. That's just what everyone was told.

Glad you did and sorry I didn't reply to your DM I was busy as of yesterday and most of today. How'd you like it?

I was in theater 9 I think. I was just going where the crowd went. I was apart of the last 20 people in line, and it just wasn't fun lol. we got there way too late, so its our fault.

Wolverine was def handled better. much better in fact lol. It was so intimate and special! This was just mass hysteria for me lol

I agree, I took off the glasses several times because i was just sitting too close, it could have been TOTALLY watchable in 2d that close... but no. 3D ruined it for me IMO! Okay not ruined it, but made it less enjoyable, thats for sure.

also James Marsden stole my sharpie. Cool. lol.

That sounds horrible. I feel bad for JP. Those types of fans are horrible to deal with. They were quiet during the movie itself though, right?

Oh yes, no doubt, Im very thankful. Despite how excruciatingly hard it was.

I told myself to not even judge the movie, but just enjoy that I was experiencing it, and then I will really sit down to watch it on the 23rd! So Im not really gonna say much about the film itself. Just initial thoughts that could change, if anyone cares.

I do feel a little disappointed with DOFP. That could be because I overhyped this film a little bit, and had pictured what battles would take place between the x-men and sentinels. I set myself up for that though.

One thing i do know for sure is Quicksilver is a show stealer for me aswell! His personality is perfect!

Despite any personal misgivings I have with the film though, I'm just happy this farnchise is completely back on track. Its a fantastic movie, and any X-Men film fan will loose their minds! As many did tonight!

As long as you aren't disappointed with the performances of any actors/actresses in the movie or feel the story is too unorganized I think it's going to get good reviews, that's all critics care about. Action is meaningless to them.
