I'm watching the homecoming ep, and im still not sure if skylar has powers or not, so this question may sound stupid....

if skylar has powers...cant peter just absorb them when he's close to him?

Peter can copy Sylar's abilities, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he knows how to use them.

ohhh, ok

*Sylar

And so far, the main ability he seems to be using the most is his telekinesis. Which a lot of us already know is to cut open his victim's brains, and "fix" what's wrong with them. There's also the fact that in his hunt for other people with these abilities, he still has some that haven't been revealed yet.

Like Bennet mentioned in "Fallout" while holding him in the glass room.

So, yeah. Peter, if he was close enough to him, could absorb all that he's taken. But as mentioned before, that doesn't mean he'll know how to use any of it. Which is why when Eccleston's character debuts, he'll take him under his wing, and teach him how to control his powers eventually.

I wonder how sylar got the telekinesis, and I'm also betting Zachary Quinto knows how he gets his powers by cutting their brains open. :D

In the episode "Six Months Ago" Dr. Suresh comes to "Gabriel Sylar", believing that he's carrying what his theory needs an answer to. Do these people really exsist? Later in the episode, Suresh and Sylar are doing a few tests, and Suresh ends up telling him he may not have a special abillity. Sylar is soon furious. And is throwing some of the notes on the table every where. He picks up a paper with the name Brian Davis, and how he's telekenetic. Sylar calls Davis to his watch shop, and Davis soon displays his power, also saying that he doesn't want it anymore. Sylar asks why, then realizes that he's "broken." He then knocks him over the head, and we're all given the impression that, that was the first person he cut open, and took what he now calls his.

Actually, in an interview, he stated that he also doesn't know. Even though portraying him.

I don't think he eats the brains, but rather examines them to see how they work, which allows him to rewire his own brain to copy the abilities of his victim.

As well as telekinesis, I think he's also shown super strength (effortlessly holding Eden by the neck, throwing Claire across the locker room), and freezing objects (they found several dead bodies frozen solid throughout the show so far).

Do you think he uses the TK to rewire his brain?

how would that explain the first time he did FOR the TK?

Ok, it checked out the Heroes marathon on NBC yesterday and now i'm totally hooked. Bad thing is that it come back on, on Jan 22, the same days as Prison Break! I used to see re-runs of Heroes in Sci-Fi. Are they gonna be doing this with season 2 also?

yeah let the countdown begin!

20 days left to new eppisodes!

I still think Peter can only obsorb so much power before he needs to release it...either violently or controlled. He can't continually soak it up forever.

..yet

Claude is mentoring him

heres a question for ya; when peter was first trying to convice mohinder that he had powers in his house, eden was there. since Peter was trying so hard to convince mohinder, wouldn't that activate edens power and make mohinder have to believe him?

hmm, I don't remember Eden meeting Peter, but that would make sense.
