Questions To Raimi that I asked when I was at the filming of SM3 on June 1st

Why is it that some ppl new to the hype start threads with info thats been posted.......Hey by the way there filming spidey 3 in N.Y. right now. I hear tobey has the black suit on under his regular shirt and they filmed in front of the Hilton as aposse to in one (then again it might be full) and Sam aramadami says venom is in the last ten minutes and that there is a fourth villian. incase you havent heard it enough.

If memory serves me right, Flint Marko was already a crook before he got the powers and became Sandman, right? I think what Raimi will do is put Kletus Cassidy (Soon to be CARNAGE) as Marko's partner in crime. Just to tie in a future Carnage story line. Marko turns into the Sandman, Cassidy goes to Jail and later meets up with Eddie Brock. CARNAGE IS THE ONLY VILLAIN THAT I THINK WOULD CAUSE THAT MUCH HYSTERIA. So all of you saying you think it's going to be Doc Ock can stop saying that... He's dead... He drowned, then a big building collapsed on him... Sorry

i realy agree with this, the two villans everyone loves or loves to hate are carnage and venom, it would make scence. having carnage and venom in 4, but its hard to tell now...i mean its almost 1 year away...

I don't think that.He's only JUST introducing Brock in this one,along with several other major characters.Kasady won't be in it IMO. Not enough screen time to delve into Kasady's background,watch another symbiote spawn and make it's way to Kasady.

Geez Spider-Man is just meeting Venom for the 1st time in this one.Bringing in Carnage would be like having Harry become GG2 in SM-1.

Was he declared dead by anyone?? Was there blood?? And what is this building that fell on him?? I just saw a fusion reactor floating above him.

Alfred Molina said they've optioned him to return in SM-3 AND SM-4.

Carnage hasn't a hope in hell of being in this.The Walrus has a better chance than Carnage.

ok. i'm gonna say this once and for all.

people keep speculating that SM3 will set up the venom story of SM4, or that carnage will be the 4th villain in SM3.

here's the deal. we have to accept that fact that the extent of venom's role in SM3 will be just the end of the movie. the finale. the "battle royale". the whole movie will build up to this "battle royale", and that's it. it's gonna be awesome, however short venom's part may be. but they're not gonna have him in SM4 again. maybe brock won't die in SM3, but he definitely won't be the main villain in SM4.

THERE WILL BE NO CLIFFHANGER. an example of a cliffhanger is venom holding spidey over a building while spidey is unconcious...and then BAM. the movie ends. there's no way they'd leave us waiting for 3 years to find out what happens. its just not the way things work.


and as for carnage? no way he's the 4th villain. if they're only devoting the ending to venom, how can carnage ever be in this film? carnage is created after venom. not before...or at the same time. it doesn't make any sense.

I would stand up and scream for joy in the theater if that happen. And maybe the whole building didn't fall on Ock but come on... Your saying they don't have enough time for Cassidy but they have enough time to explain how Ock survived and then slowly unravel his EVIL PLAN in this one. But hey man, you named yourself after that villain so I can see why it makes you want him back SOOOOOO much.

Well, I'm just excited about the fourth surprise villain.

As for Raimi saying he wasn't sure if he was going to do anymore films, he's said that that from the beginning. When doing Spidey 1, he wasn't sure if he was gonna do the second. When doing Spidey 2, he wasn't sure about doing the third. Now that he's on Spidey 3, he isn't sure about the fourth. I'm sure he'll come back.

That would be very anti-climatic.That's not even a villain.Regular Kasady is just a crook.

Raimi said we're getting a VILLAIN.Not some cheap hood in a jail cell.

It could take all of 30 seconds to show how Ock survived.

But hey man, you named yourself after that villain so I can see why it makes you want him back SOOOOOO much.

I do want him back.But not in SM-3.It's waaaaaaaaaay too crowded in this movie as it is.And Ock deserves better than to be squeezed into this.If he's coming back then he should have adequate screen time for it.Molina said they've optioned him for SM-4.That would be just fine.

I think this 4th mystery villain is the Lizard.Conners is in this one.Seems like the most logical explanation to me.

You know for a guy who people say is detached from the comics and an "old school" spidey fan

Raimi has really taken affection to the fans.. I mean.. he's busy with Spider-Man 3 and you can see it in all the photos, but he still takes photo ops and you can always see him moving his arms to explain a scene

I'm not giving him praise because I'm sure all directors appreciate their fans to an extent.. I guess I'm just saying he doesn't deserve a lot of the bashing some fans give him

I mean.. if he really doesn't like Venom.. at least he understands that there are fans that love the character and he's putting Venom in the movie..

I know people are going to argue "Well it wasn't prolly his call and he's doing it under protest.. and he's changing venom etc etc"

but a lot of us saw this coming.. comic book venom wouldn't work for a pg13 spidey.. not the comic venom a lot of the "hardcore" fans love.

and raimi has the pull that he could basically say "no I don't want venom int he film" and sony would listen because he's their "spidey" expert... it's the whole reason he was chosen to make SM1 over the huge list of potential directors.

With all the lockdown secrecy that Raimi, the studio, Arad and the rest have kept, Raimi just decided to devuldge all that info to some guy on the street. What a load of crap.

Yeah, that's the problem I have with this as well. Why would a director flat out tell someone this information? There's a huge fallacy happening here.

The three villians I would love to see as the fourth villian are Mysterio, Lizard or Rhino. Rhino would be the best as just a throw away villian who could easily be put in the first 10 min just to get the ball rolling. Mysterio also doesn't really need a whole lot of exposition. Lizard would be the only one who would need a decent amount of screen time.
