Questions To Raimi that I asked when I was at the filming of SM3 on June 1st

The only one I could think of that would cause such a thing..... keyword: MASS HYSTERIA is The Jackel.

Mass Hysteria? Holy ****. When I heard about the 4th villain I was thinking "token cameo villain" at the start of the film. Shocker to be more precise.

But mass hysteria? That's off the hook, or at least I hope so. I have a bad feeling at CC at the press conference that a big poster will be unveiled. The 4th baddie will be something stupid like..bad Spidey in all his Symbiote Glory.

Well, I would hope its an actual villain if its to cause mass hysteria (wonder if that was "code"). If it were Spidey is a villain ala Ultimate Six (where Ultimate Spidey was forced to join GG, Ock, and others) I wouldn't be "hysterical".

Wait, maybe we'll be laughing "hysterically" at Spidey and how he trashes Shocker... Huh? HUH?

Or, replace Shocker with Mysterio and a comedian playing him...

Okay... so maybe I should read the whole thread before I just quote the first thing I agree with...

Either way, I'm sticking to my hopes and the fourth villain will be someone to laugh at. Spider-Man completely clowns the Shocker and Mysterio and that would have us howlin' in our seats (like the Juggernaut's final lines in X3 for those who surf youtube.com).

Not only would this give the movie enough time to deal with the other, bigger villains, it would finally give Spidey the chance to toss some of the great one-liners out he's known for.

I seriously thought the fourth villain would just be the symbiote but Avi and Raimi both saying that it would cause MASS HYSTERIA well that's just a curve ball. Is MASS HYSTERIA a good thing? I doubt the fourth villain will be Spidey. That wouldn't cause mass hysteria. At least not for fandom. Spidey turning dark because of the symbiote is on par with Ock being "a good man, and remaining one", as Avi mentioned during the filming of Spidey 2.

It's gotta be something bigger, even if it's as ridiculous as Gwen becoming BC.

The Lizard is the only who I can concievably see being the fourth villian. Here is my brakedown on some of the events that I would like to see played in Spider-Man 3:

I don't think Venom will fight Spidey in this film, that will be left to number 4. So really there should only be 3 villians having a direct confrontation with Spidey and Venom killing Sandman will tie that loose end up. Harry getting killed.....probably by a more crule Spidey under the influence of the symbiote and Lizard being cured...for now.

Okay, so in a more straight forward way:

Lizard/Doc Connors - faught by good Spidey and subdued
Green Goblin/Harry Osbourne - killed by symbiote Spidey
Sandman/Flint Marko - killed by Venom
Venom/Eddie Brock - left for fourth film (Spidey unaware of his existence)

I have a really strong mind set on how the last minutes should be played out. With Sandman pulverising the now good Spidey, Spidey being beaten unconscious, Venom swinging by, biting and killing Sandy, then Spidey wakes up, a crowd of people are running towards him so he swings away, then the camera starts to track out and then Venom jumps down back turned, turns to face the camera, close up on his face, tongue and everything and then BOOM credits. A nice way to leave people wanting a number 4.

The only thing that i disagree with you is venom being in the 4th film. Sam Raimi is not going to have all his success be told in another film with a villian he did without doing it. Sam Raimi even said himself that he considers is movies Triologies. With that being said if he did a fourth film it would be a start of a different triology, a different story being told.

yeah im sure that will be the case. the films are based on the unlimited spiderman comics arent they? as is the cartoon, so i think we can make alot of guesses what will happen in the film by watchign the old episodes.
