I know these characters are probably pretty minor, but I thought maybe it would be a good idea to have a thread discussing the roles of Detective Ramirez, played by Monique Curnen, Detective Stephens (Keith Szarabajka), and Officer Berg (Matt Shallenberger).

I'm pretty sure that Berg is in the sides, and from a call sheet Stephens is the one who
informs Barbara Gordon about her husband's "death".

i wonder if stephens or berg was one of the roles offered to dwight yoakem

Probably Stephens, seems to fit the "ne'er do well cop" more. Berg is the one that tries to kill the Joker because his wife's in hospital. They all seem to be under Oldman's command.

This is Matt Shallenberger, he's even holding the shotgun mentioned in the sides. Reese on the right

I don't know but she was on 'Dexter' a for a few episodes if you wanna check her out.

Yea, that's just his page in the sides.

No-one took a decent photo of Curnen, but it looks like she's part of the Joker truck chase

And a different bank scene

Yep it does look that way. I wonder if she is supposed to be a spin off of Montoya, who in the comics has a connection to Two-Face.

Wheres Bullock him and Montoya made a great team in the comics and Moniqe Curnen looks exactly how i would like montoya to look shes a bit older then id like but its all good.

So... is joker gunna try to f up barbara?

Are those their real names in the movie? Why not use Bullock and Montoya?

So far, I'm a little disappointed by Dexter season 2 and i'm a big fan. Of course, Hall is great as usual. He'd make a cool mad hatter.

Maybe they aren't supposed to be Bullock and Montoya, but just two random detectives created for the movie.

uh......I don't know where you guys have been, but I broke who was playing Stephens back in June:

Kieth Szarabajka.

wow I'm dence, I didnt even know they where going to have these detectives in the film. Each bit of news makes this film sound sweeter.

sweeter.........sweeter?

is rimerez just Montoya with a different name?
i dont think so...

i think it might have been Jow or Miss Fox who said it, maybe not, but either way someone said
rimerez was working for dent/two face...which means Dent was corrupt all along or he nabs her after being scarred

lol, negative. Thats what happens when I assume.

And BTW - it was me that was speculating that Stephens and Ramirez are crooked. I don't think Dent is the whole time, but when he does go Faced then he drags others with him. But thats only my speculation, nothing more.

I know there have been rumors that a cop gives the acid to whoever it is who scars Dent. Maybe its Stephens, since there has been no confirmation of any "crooked" cops like Flass?

We better be getting a nice handful of crooked cops in this film. Although their presence was felt in Batman Begins, the only one to actually have a role was Flass.

Definitely, this is one aspect that's never been done before in any real way, while Gordon's ascending the ladder is the perfect time for it. I wish all this stuff, the cops, the mob, the politics, the media, were better established in Begins' Gotham, but at least they're getting to it now. Already sounds way more interesting than the simple story we got last time
