Rank 'em: Worst SV Eps of All Time

Okay folks, we're always talking about the best episodes, best season, best plots, best guest actors, yada yada. Lets flip that coin this time.

Here's your chance to acknowledge the WORST SV episodes of all time. Give us a whole season of stinkers and use whatever yardstick or 10-foot long pole you'd like to rank 'em from "What were they thinking?!" to "I'd rather pluck my eyes out with a fork than watch this episode again." LOL

The irony is, I liked S5 the best and thought S6 was the worst, but that's not reflected in the amount of awesome vs. stinker episodes I cull from each season. Odd.

Honestly, the only episodes that made me really cringe HARD were Lucy and Fierce.

Velocity, Tomb, Talisman, and Forever were borderline snorefests and Static was a bit heavy on the wtf? moments.

There are a few others that I didn't particularly love, but they had enough redeeming scenes that keep them off my ickybad list.

Pat's got a lot of episodes on her list that I would probably rank as average at worst in my book ("Void", "Magnetic", "Whisper", "Fanatic").

But for me, it's a toss up between "Facade" and "Ageless". For the most part, it all depends on how preposterous the A-Story is when it comes to deciding whether or not an episode is 'Worst of the Worst' bad. And exploding babies and Kryptonite plastic surgery pretty much take the cake, pie, and the cobbler.

Pat's got a lot of episodes on her list that I would probably rank as average at worst in my book ("Void", "Magnetic", "Whisper", "Fanatic").

Nobody reads the instructions.

There are a lot of episodes on my list because it's a mock "season" of SV. That's twenty two eps, y'know? The eps are ranked from bad to worst. You'll notice that Magnetic and Whisper are at the top because they really weren't that bad, IMHO. I didn't think Ageless was that bad either, hence why it's first on the list. Ageless is my "best" on a list of "bad" LOL.

But if I was only listing six eps like you folks, my list would include these:

Devoted
Facade
Forever
Fierce
Static
Spirit

^ And THOSE eps ARE bad. Kill-me-now kinda bad.

In terms of absurdity, it's right up there with Cool, Craving, Kinetic, and Drone, but it bears NO comparison to Pilot, Hourglass, Rogue, Zero, Stray or Tempest. And y'know, for a SEVENTH season episode? That's pretty sad.

Funny, Devoted is one of my favorite eps of that season, so much fun. Spirit didn't bother me either. And I may be the only person who liked Velocity. But off the top of my head:

Season 2 - That one with the weirdo Byron kid--its name escapes me right now. And there are others, but its the season I've watched the least, so I can't think of any titles

Season 3 - Magnetic, Whisper (hands down)

Season 4 - Ageless

Season 5 - Tomb

Season 6 - Static

Season 7, thus far - Fierce and Blue

The season 2 ep. you mention is "Nocturne". Yeah, I didn't like that one either.

I agree with your list! I'd add from season 2 "Dichotic".

I liked the TC in "Whisper". t: I absolutely HATE "Static".

I think it's called Redux, the one with the girl that can stay young forever, Christ that was bad.

1. They never explained how she did it
2. They never explained why she wanted to remain a teenager [she says that her parents died over a hundred years ago, at that time there was no teenage culture
3. Clark goes to the Grandfathers to give him a photo album, and his Grandfather gives him a check, it never appeared to me that these objects changed hands and Clark leaves carrying nothing. [He could have put the check in his pocket]
4. The girl needs to steal youth to stay young, so why is she stealing it from a guy who look in his 50's?
5. The new principal was interesting but never returned.
6. Lana shows up at the end dressed fancy, she looked hot but why was she dressed like that?
7. There's a scene between Clark and Lana that seems like they're reading of cue cards
8. Henry small, never lead anywhere.
9. Clark tells his parents that his grandfather said he tried to get involved after his parents adopted him, except he never said that. [Maybe Clark lied because he thought it was a likely scenario but it's not clear}

At least ageless was logical.

I think I liked Hothead because it had some nice father/son stuff and it was the first time Clark was really stepping out and defying his Dad....oh the innocent days of SV...lol And Lucy was more pointless than anything.

And Lucy was more pointless than anything.

I detested the character of Lucy, so much so that it killed the episode for me. And that was an episode I was dying to see because Peter Wingfield was guest-starring - his character sucked too.

And Enchanted is a great film!

I saw that last night with my mother. Both of us totally enjoyed it.
