After rewatching Batman Forever last week I'm going to bump it up to number 6 on my list and move BvS down to 7.

Shame because Affleck was so good as Batman, but I definately enjoyed Forever more than BvS as a whole.

5. The Dark Knight Rises

Okay, I needed to write out my list.

Best to worst

1. The Dark Knight: utterly unchallenged as the best Batman film, and not just because of Ledger's Joker, solid performances from everyone in this one.
Also, Eckhart was terribly underrated as Harvey Dent - he's actually likeable before his descent, and we feel his outrage at how unfairly he's been treated by fate.
The whole pruitt building sequence alone is worth watching the movie for, Batman at his best.

2. Batman Begins: best version of the Batman origin, and Bale's best Bat-film as we see him really stamp his mark on the role of Bruce Wayne. Also, he portrays the key aspects of Batman, particularly his rage.
the microwave emitter was silly, but otherwise a great Bat-film.

3. Batman 1989: the first step in taking Batman back to his gritty origins. A really watchable film - although really it's the Joker's film, guest-starring Batman.

4. The Dark Knight Rises: While the film has some spectacular sequences it doesn't reach the heights of TDK, and with each re-watch the not-so-great stuff becomes more obvious. Hardy's Bane was well-cast but poorly executed - menace dissolves into mumbles.

5. Batman Returns: If they had left out the whole "child-catcher" thing I would have rated this higher, but that was a step too far.

6. Batman v Superman: I am a big Superman fan too, so I really struggled with this film - it's Batman's film, but then while Batman is pure awesome in a few sequences he's kind of dumb and easily manipulated ( and I'm not even going to go near the fact that his goal is to KILL Superman, which shows a complete misunderstanding of everything Batman is about - sure Batman ends up killing people from time to time, but he doesn't plot their deaths with precision - he wasn't planning a battle with Superman, he was planning an assassination, even Miller didn't go that far in DKR or DKSA).
Branding I can live with, returning fire as a lethal response (yup, he killed those guys in the cars) but a premeditated murder, is utterly, completely wrong for Batman.

7. Batman Forever: Found Kilmer boring as Batman, Chris O'Donnell mildly amusing as Robin, Tommy Lee Jones utterly unwatchable as Two-Face and the neon very distracting. However, Carrey steals the show - his Riddler is fantastic and the best thing about the movie.

8. Batman 1968: well, that's who Batman was back then....

9. Batman and Robin: I can barely watch this film, it's awful.

My list:

1. Batman Forever
2. Batman Returns
3. Batman & Robin
4. Batman
5. Batman Begins
6. The Dark Knight Rises
7. The Dark Knight
8. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

01. Batman Returns
02. The Dark Knight Rises
03. Batman
04. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
05. Batman Begins
06. The Dark Knight
07. Batman Forever
08. Batman & Robin
09. Batman: The Movie

My list would go a little something like this:

3. The Dark Knight Rises.
4. Batman.
5. Batman Returns.
6. Batman ’66.
7. Batman Forever.

5. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition
6. Batman (89)

That's my reaction to your overreaction hate towards BvS, Especially if you still count the ultimate cut

Aww TX, you know I heart you. But when and where did I offer "overreaction hate" on Batman v. Superman? I use my peepers and my attention span as the basic gauge(s) for whether a movie is good or a whether it's a piece of fluff. BvS wasn't an exciting film visually, and the plot felt like a cheap knock-off of The Death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns. With everything the filmmakers have at their disposal, ie. source material and amazing artists, they have no reason to get these films wrong. That's not hating. If I was hatin, I actively try to get people to not go see the film, which I didn't. I actually saw BvS a 2nd time just to confirm my previous diagnosis. Two of my mates came along... one of them groaned at one point and the other feel asleep. Truer words I couldn't speak even if WW had her golden lasso wrapped around me. Anyway, the gif reactions are just me having a bit of a laugh. The fact that you find Batman vs. Superman better than '89 Batman is, to me, quite silly. So that's why I posted the silly gifs, silly. ;)

By overreaction hate I meant because you have BvS ranked as the worst or one of the worst, Which is to me is as silly as your opinion.

However I have a feeling I will eventually rank B'89 and Keaton as the best again...Unless of course Affleck's solo turns out amazing as I think it could be
