I gave it a 7. It was good but it didn't show us anything we didn't already know in terms of the story and it made the film come across as a VFX over story film and a bit Michael Bay-ish. That being said, I'm still hopeful and the VFX looked really ****ing slick. Hulk looked very cool as well.

I was torn between a 6 and a 7. Ended up going with the latter mainly because

1. It's cool as fark to see all these guys together
2. Loki ..... Sorry but he's the best of the bunch.
3. Scope ..... it's definitely a much larger movie than all the others.
4. Hulk ..... seeing him calmed my fears that they'd deviate too much from TIH, but I thought the CGI was absolutely fantastic.

The flaws to me are still:

1. Generic look ..... I know Marvel is trying to keep a uniform approach to this, but there was a definable palette difference in TIH/Cap that I liked over all of Iron Man's films and Thor. The cinematography absolutely has to match with the costumes.
2. Widow's pose ..... I dunno, it's just not working for me.
3. Ruffalo .... even though he only had one line, he's just so unassuming to me. Just imagine that same scene if it were Norton and RDJ exchanging the dialogue. Ah well.
4. I'm tired of the super quick shots.
5. Caps costume material is distracting. He looks more like he's wearing a space suit.
6. Needs moar Thor!

I gave it an 8..... that sound and then the cars exploding did seem a bit transformerish so I see where Spiderman 6592 is coming from.

Overall I was very pleased.... seemed to me like the initial voice over was not Loki's voice...rather the 2nd was the every man for himself line.... the meant to be ruled line sounded darker

at any rate,, loved seeing the Hulk, Highly confused as to why Thor is about to unleash the pain on Cap in the forest..... I am guessing this is an initial off base encounter scuffle.

RDJ's wit is on point as always.... love the clash with the boyscout

6 for me since I found most of Stark's dialogue to be cheesy(out of context at least). Only enjoyed the exchange between him and Cap. Also, didn't like how the music included lyrics, instrumental would've been fine but it didn't fit.

Very entertaining trailer. It looks like a fun popcorn flick and has Whedon's typically witty and fast-paced dialogue giving it a nice bounce. However, it seems perhaps a little too slick and when I think of an Avengers movie I want to think the word "epic." This looks fun, but while larger scaled than Marvel Studios's other films...I find like most MS efforts that it isn't trying to blow you away as just be very entertaining. Which is fine, but I think it could be more.

So 8/10 is my vote.

9...because I have no expectations for this movie but smiled through the entire trailer.

Solid 8 for a teaser trailer.

I gave it an 8 because even though it was a great trailer, it needed a little more of Thor and Capt..actually a little bit of every character, save Iron Man. It had a little too much of IM, not that I don't like him - I do like him and I am a fan of the films.

I liked the beginning of it with the car explosions and Loki!!!!!!!! :D

8/10 just because Banner/Hulk needed more play.

And who didn't love that little exchange between Cap & Stark? :awesome:

I gave it a 7... I still like the trailer, but after watching it 5-6 times, I had some concerns...

1. No mention of the other villain, seems like Loki is taking on everyone by himself. They should've mentioned another villain was around, but kept the identity a secret. IMO, that made The Avengers look weak. (Yes, we all know there's another villain in the movie...but those who don't follow this forum wouldn't know that)

2. In the street explosion sequence, I find it a little awkward because it looked like the street was blowing up by itself. It didn't look like anything was shooting the grounds and it made me think that this sequence was shown just for the sake of showcasing the 'awesome explosions' in the movie.

3. I still can't get over Cap's hoodie look...

4. The scenes where Loki pushed/threw Stark and the next scene of Cap flying out the window. It didn't felt right putting those scenes one after the other. Most would think the scenes are connected when it's really not.

5. Too many Iron Man flying around scenes, I would rather have a few seconds more of other Avengers instead.

6. Music could've been better and more epic, something that will stay in people's minds after they watch it. Trailer music like Tron and Inception are good examples.

Probably will have a few more later...but that's it for now!

This was definitely an 8-9 for me. This was only the first trailer and it pretty much gave me everything I would expect from a first trailer. It left me wanting more ... and that's a damn good thing.

8.

It would of definitely been a 9, if we got some story. Or a Skrull reveal, oh well there's always next trailer.

8. A very solid trailer imo.

The trailer was kinda generic, but most first trailers are so it's not a big deal.

Action and effects seems to be top notch.

While the music wasn't bad, it think something more epic could have been chosen.

Slightly Iron Man heavy, but I understand from a marketing standpoint.

Cap and Stark moment was nice and Hulk's tease was all they needed to show. Save most of his stuff for the movie, but more Banner is welcomed.

At the end of the day this trailer has me excited.

I hoping the next trailer gives us more insight on the villain(s) and interaction between all the Avengers. I would love a group shot of the all heroes together suited up as well.

Uncanny to the TDKR teaser, I gave The Avengers teaser a 4.5

I've been receiving some heat over my opinions, but I don't give a flying f**k. The teaser appeared just as generic as every summer blockbuster presented to the general audience. I wasn't blown away nor was I impressed. I hope the second trailer provides less Michael Bay-esque explosions, humor and dialogue and more story-driven material.

I was attacked in another forum because I was the only one who had something less than amazing to think about the trailer, despite the fact that I still thought it was decent. I'm glad that I've found a few people here who shared some of my thoughts.

However, I'll still give it a 7 out of 10. It wasn't quite what I was expecting..

It felt more like an extended teaser trailer to me if anything..

10/10 - it's the freaking Avengers. Marvel Studios had the balls to do something that every other movie studio, every other Hollywood producer, and every other Hollywood director said couldn't be done, and they did it. The movie is EPIC and you get the scope of that in the trailer. I'm amazed with how far along the effects shots are, especially for Hulk, and above all else they have the exact right tone for this film.

10/10 for me but there were a few flaws
too much RDJ worked but gave little amount of Thor or banner action

9/10. Gave me everything a first trailer should - an idea of the tone, the characters (and a look at how they'll interact), a brief tease of the plot, and some good action beats to tide me over. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the music choice. But the footage itself looks so great to me. I love that it still kept the main plot under wraps.

Half of it was explosions and hard to follow action, there was little to no story, the dialogue felt unnatural and weak, and overall it just seemed to show the "appeal" of the film rather than any type of story....and then there's the music.

Giving it a generous 6/10.

I'd say 8/10.

Really, the only things that I didn't like were two shots where it felt like they were more like freeze frames mixed in with effects that were obviously not completed. I'm talking about the one with Black Widow standing still with an explosion taking place behind her, and the one with Captain America and Thor looking up into the sky.
