Don't you find that ironic though? we've got now what is arguably the closest looking suit to the classic design.

What's ironic? Simple thing is, IMO, the TASM costume improved alot of the aesthetic design of the classic (IMO). Like Raimi's made an improvement on the classic with the back spider.

I wont love something just for it being 'classic'.

You said you disliked the ASM suit at first because it was not the classic design and because it looked terrible in set pics. And now? well I don't know.

Think about it. Something new. I have a hard time with change myself. Once I got past the initial shock of the costume being different and seeing better set pics...

(this one always sticks out as the one that really gave me that urg feeling at first. Everytime I think set pics, I thing this. Did not show the costume in the best way... poor lighting).

... and then the trailer, well, my mind was swayed. Seeing the film just cemented my opinion about it. Nothing ironic. Just a progression of thought change.

Nothing against you. I'm sure you're aware, it appears you may go through the same "progression of thought change", except I find it a bit humorous now it's because it's not the ASM suit. Who knows, you may once again fall in love with the classic suit after seeing it in action.

I have said I may end up loving this suit. Right now, the suit looks cheap. Again, that may be the lighting. Also, not a fan of the boots at all. Not a fan of the eyes either. But seeing better set pics and the thing in action may change my mind.

But they may have topped the TASM suit by adapting the classic design itself.

I just need to see better set pics or better, promo shots of what we can expect to see in the film :)

I was.

Basically the same design? How do you get that? I see nothing that looks like the basic design as this

amazing-spider-man-movie-web-shooter.jpeg

It more or less looks like the basic design of the webshooter seen in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and it looks just as awful. I loved the look of the TAS-M webshooter where it seemed like just a very rough design that added to the edginess of the first suit.

I meant that it had the same color scheme and is roughly the same size. It has the cap on it probably to make it more secure. The new one looks easier to load, and looks more streamlined and I guess professional. He might have taken time to really invest in this, because I was under the impression he made the costume and webshooters fairly quickly, within perhaps a few days, maybe a week or so. These webshooters and the costume look more professional, like say The Avengers. Like he's come to terms of being a superhero and perhaps a little larger than life as Spider-Man.

Like for example when someone has a grass roots fanbase, they might be a little edgier and dirtier, thinking nothing more will really come out of this, but then that person suddenly explodes into something huge, and all of a sudden that person appears more clean, more "mainstream".

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to consider Spidey as a "celebrity" in this universe. People spray painting his icon on walls and wearing shirts dedicated to him. Peter might want to have a more "iconic" look if you get my drift;)

Heh, maybe we'll get a scene of him hanging up his old suit and adopting his newer, more boastful suit to go along with a new found sense of confidence.

I do hope we see a transition in the film at least, and for a good reason. Not something silly like 'it itched' lol.

Maybe the new suit will be in 2 parts (3 including the mask, five if the gloves are separate pieces) so Peter can where it under his regular clothes. It does seem like it would fit under clothes better than the TASM suit. They could explain it like Peter needs to stop the rhino from rampaging but he wastes too much time changing so a store gets completely destroyed or something.

"Come on, come on! Ugh this stupid shirt won't come off. Alrigh-AW DAMMIT MY PANTS ARE STUCK TO MY LEGGINGS!!!"

I've got a question, how did Peter's boots in TASM fit in his shoes if his boots are like shoes due to them being made partly by shoes?

Puts the shoes in his bag, or webs/hides them to a obscure spot for the time being then grabs them whenever.

what if these are the same web-shooters but with a case on them?

The shape doesn't even look the same.

That's not ironic. Wanting something different from the beginning that doesn't resemble the "classic" design is just someone that appreciates something different. Nothing is wrong with something a little different especially how well it worked out with Nolan's Batman.

I meant that it had the same color scheme and is roughly the same size.

That's not even accurate. The new webshooters looks wider and the color scheme looks more of Spidey's glove color, which wasn't the case with the webshooter of the first suit.

This is just a guess.

I can see how the suit looks more professional for sure and I can definitely appreciate that, but still, I still liked the first suit more because of it being a "quick fix" of a costume that Peter created in a matter of days.

Although, and it might be just a little nitpick of mine, I would like to know why Peter took time to take out certain things such as leg stripes...did he just not like them? Lol.

Hahaha I would imagine getting into the suit would be the real challenge though. I can see him spinning in circles struggling to zip up the back.

Like I said, Peter may feel the need to make a cleaner more "mainstream" suit since the whole superhero thing was taking off. Remember, he didn't make the suit with the mindset of being a superhero, he made it real quick to hunt down Ben's killer. Now that the superhero thing is getting big and Spidey is becoming a phenomon, he may feel the need to really invest in a more comfortable, again cleaner and more "streamlined" suit. (which would mean taking out all the fancy stripes going everywhere)

This is the best possible Spider -Man costume they could have made. Literally perfect in my eyes, flawless. I've been in awe of this for days now... so perfect

Taking away the stripes doesn't really add up because he could have easily taken other stripes on the suit...(the arm stripes). The quick change can be for a reason, but as I said about nitpicks, it just doesn't add up.

Not to me, I don't find it ironic, I find it fanboyish. Even when you give a fanboy exactly what he wants (the classic Spider-Man suit), he's still not satisfied, now, it's nitpicking to the 9th degree. This is without a doubt the worst I've seen Raimi Fans...errr...fanboys. ;)

Id love to hear their explanation as to why they went with the brick pattern the raimi suit used. Thats the worst offense, that and those impractical looking boots.

I think keep the pattern and fabric/latex/rubber/spandex would have done this outfit more justice; and I aas well would have kept the shoe soul practicality of the boots from TASM.

They need a reason to use the classic suit, how about because we damn well own it and it's ours, both Raimi's and Webb's.

how creatively bankrupt are they then that they couldnt come up with a new texture pattern to keep it seperate from the first franchise?! Weak excuse/reasoning if ive ever heard it.
