Justice League Ray Fisher Is Victor Stone/Cyborg

Out of the main 5 characters? Yeah probably. Not that she was bad by any means but the others really showed their acting chops. But yeah...I have to say it, as someone else already did around here...
"KAL EL NO!" "KAL EL, LAST SON OF KRYPTON, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE".

To be fair, that is lousy writing and hard lines to deliver. Like, why the hell does she keep calling him kal el? Call him Clark to goodness sakes.

The lines are fine, her delivery wasn't. Harle said she sounded like she was scolding her pet chihuahua. I can't unsee/unhear it.

She didn't give away his secret identity (that he was Clark Kent), and the fact that General Zod had called Superman as Kal El was a well known fact, WW was using his real name here.

And, I think her dialogue was
"Kal El, last son of Krypton, remember who you are"

Given Cyborg's good reception in JL, I don't think a solo movie is totally out of the question. If anything now they would do what they should've done from the start and actually build their shared universe first before uniting it.

I really hope so, for both of those.

I'd watch a Cyborg film after seeing a bit of him here. Especially if they continue with his struggles to adapt to life as one...

^ my fear is that he plays better as part of an ensemble.

I'm not sure where you would even begin at this point with a standalone for him. He returns to star labs and then what? They test the cubes on him again? He becomes a tool for Amanda Waller?

Gets lost in the Cyberverse(yes, that's a thing) and his evil cyber doppelganger Grid, tries to take his place? :sly:

after watching JL, ray fisher has become my favorite actor and cyborg is my fave character in this.

there's alot of potential for more stories with him but i don't know if WB will ever have the balls or creativity to make a solo movie with him.

i hope fisher knows a lot of fans loved his take and feel he's the standout in JL.

zack snyder's casting choices is one of the best things about the dceu, imo.

Not gonna happen, that's too dark. :oldrazz:

He was fine in this role, just kind of boring tbh. I can't help but feel he would've benefited from an actor that had a bit more charisma.

Michael B Jordan is the first actor that comes to mind. He would've played a great Cyborg.

But yeah, there's literally no chance that we get to see a Cyborg movie. I never wanted to watch one anyways. He is a character that works best in an ensemble.

Does anyone really want to see Grid on the bigscreen? Answer: no. If Cyborg got a movie, the only way for it to be interesting would be to steal a Titans villain, because he doesn't have interesting villains of his own. Cyborg vs Brother Blood ft. cameos from the Titans? Alright, I'd watch that.

we got Nightwing and Deathstroke movie coming so just do Titans movie and put Cyborg in there.

Brother Blood is a Raven villain, involved with Magic, Cults of Trigon, and trying to marry Raven; not that bastardization that appeared on Teen Titans and misinformed everybody. The better option would be to either take some C to Z-lister craft an original plot or make an original character for the plot and go from there.

Implying that the DCEU has enough clout to try to make a movie using a Z-lister.

They're on thin ice. They need to just scrap the Cyborg movie altogether and focus on bigger heroes and bigger villains.

He could fight a version of Amazo, or Gizmo and his creations. And there are people here who'd like to see Grid. Answer Yes

Regarding those leaked scenes... We know it was his avatar doing it because it was him in his GCU uniform and not him as a cyborg. I think it was to signify that he's so plugged into everything he could control the world's nuclear stockpile at the snap of a finger or the swipe of a hand.

Well, Victor and his dad are currently based out of Metropolis, so I wouldn't mind if they both show up in a MOS 2.

But, I think Cyborg has a lot of solo potential. Ray himself said he'd like to see the Phantom Limbs in the Cyborg movie, but he could also deal with other threats, including Ivo's Amazo virus or Brother Eye and the OMACs. Grid is definitely an option (and, JL certainly leaves the door open for an Apokoliptan, Mother Box-based origin for Grid). As with all these films, it requires a good writer, a director willing to draw creatively from the source material, and the appropriate level of oversight to keep the character within bounds.

The last thing I'd want is for Victor to suddenly become a supporting character for Nightwing or Robin or anyone else in a Teen Titans film. That would shortchange the character and the actor, and it would only really have the effect of removing him from the Justice League.

Kal-el is his birth name. Maybe a Themysciran doesn't switch to secondary names like a Brooklynite. Didn't find fault in that. Now, we can talk about "Yeah...something is definitely bleeding." That nearly pushed Batman back to the Schumacher era.

I thought Cyborg was easily the "pointless" member of the league. Sure he helped in bringing Superman back, but it seemed like his role was just to stand there and attack. Cyborg's has a good backstory, but they didn't with it as much as they could have either. Didn't help that he seemed to be played so bland either.

Using a Z-lister at this point really wouldn't be much worse. They need to focus less on what villains they use, and more on treating their heroes better anyway.

I mean it seems like he had a fairly substantial role outside of reviving Superman.

- Finding where Stepenwolf's base of opperations was
- the one who actually separated the Motherboxes with the help of Superman, thwarting Steppenwolf's overall plan
- upgrading the Flying Fox to actually get to Russia before Steppenwolf completes his plan

To follow that up, the fact that he's allowed to interact with the rest of the League as peers from the jump is great. He doesn't come off as an afterthought and he's allowed to have an actual relationship with them. In the books, Batman hacks his constantly and Barry gave him a pity talk once. He's barely spoken to anyone else except here and there. Here, he and Wonder Woman bond over the fact that they are both still coping with their respective losses, he and Aquaman have a bit of tension seeing as Aquaman doesn't trust his tech, he and Barry are the "accidents" of the team and the youngest, and he and Superman bonded over the fact that they both "died" and how they don't want to die again. Ironically, Batman doesn't get much with him, but he still fact checks Batman's plans and comes up with his own strategies. It's his plan that they follow at the end. All in all, this is the treatment that he should have gotten during his first introduction to the League and it actually feels like he belongs here.

I would definitely like to see more of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. I loved how, like technology, he was constantly evolving. We saw a Cyborg who had just started out and could barely control his new body, but he could potentially become more powerful than Superman since there really isn’t an end to how advanced he can get. Liked how they showed at the end that he was learning how to change his appearance. Which I’m sure could lead to him being able to change back into.

I honestly think Grid could be interesting if done right (playing against his fears that the Mother Box is corrupting him and making him a potential threat), but he could be used against Amazo/Professor Anthony Ivo, Brother Blood, maybe a more mystical villain if not technological.

In fact, Cyborg now has the potential to play with and expand on the Fourth World mythos. He's basically a human mother box! He can control boom tubes with his mind, not to mention the fact it is constantly upgrading his body. Hundreds of them at a time, all around the world, but maybe introduced the flaw that was shown in the comics. Cyborg needs a supporting cast, and they provide one. Vic could be helping entire civilizations evacuate dying planets, making first contact with digital life-forms, and stopping the Evil Factory from turning entire cities into armies of undead Parademon monsters.

Bruh, "Sorry guys, I didn't bring a sword. Jesus, he is tall." are the worst. Not only are the lines and delivery bad, but the cowl looks terrible on him there.
It's how the cowl's mouth hole fits on his face. It's too rounded at the bottom and it's like they didn't give enough room for his epic chin.
It happens a few times and it one of my main criticisms with the new cowl.

Totally disagree. He does plenty, far from pointless.

I actually much preferred that line and that shot than this one

allegedly Cyborg kills his mother in the Snyder cut. Hence all the bitterness.
