Justice League Ray Fisher Is Victor Stone/Cyborg

Just sayin', if they do speak out, this matter could be resolved much quicker. :hehe:
Their careers could be resolved much quicker too. Unless there is concrete evidence of a crime taking place they are better off staying quite for now.

On second thought even if there is concrete evidence they should still keep their mouths shut. They arent required to report crimes to the Supreme Court of Twitter.

How will WB be affected by this? Most of those people don’t work there anymore. Whedon hasn’t worked in years, Berg is a no-name producer and WB is under new management. Outside of Geoff Johns getting fired I’m not sure what’ll happen.

WB suits right now:

If a crime happened, there will be a PR stink and some expendable heads will roll. Apologies will be made. WB's lawyers will shield the studio as much as it can.

If it was just a bad working environment, and no crime was committed, apologies might be made.

I guess with Hamada getting fired too since if he truly wanted to protect Johns, that makes him another "enabler". Nothing else will happen to WB, depending on the outcome of the investigation they might just get rid of a few liabilities and replace them with others. If a few cogs in the machine are no longer useful and start making bad noise, you just get rid of them and put others in their place.

I've never heard bad things about Geoff so bizzare he probably let that Hollywood mentality go to his head.

Like I and others have said, this isn't really about anyone getting fired. Seems from everything Ray has said that his concern is exposing the truth and ensuring toxic work cultures cease to be so commonplace in Hollywood. Should Ray come outta this vindicated and on top, it'd be a small-time actor leading the charge of systemic change at a big-time studio. That would set a precedent that would ideally keep the Bryan Singers of the world from rising to the top.

I wouldnt hold your breath. Toxic work culture and the wrong people rising to the top is woven into the fabric of corporations and capitalism. The most Fisher can hope for is making things awkward for Whedon, and letting people know that he and others had a bad experience during reshoots.

I work for one of the largest media conglomerates in the world and despite being based in France, they’ve instituted sweeping policy changes due entirely to the sociological issues in the US.

This idea that things simply won’t change is just untrue. Moral obligations aside, It’s no longer good for business to allow toxicity to fester.

Just because things might not change shouldn't deter people from trying to bring about change.

I've been on the 'wait things out/wait for facts' bandwagon and still am... But certainly with two people speaking up and what appears to be a botchjob of a pr effort from WB.... Hmmm...

i'm curious to find out what kind of "serious stuff" went down.

I have to agree because even with the #MeToo movement the casting couch is still out there and still being used.

The casting couch like any other appalling business practices will unfortunately always be a thing with pretty much any line of work. Goes back to the cogs in the machine thing, getting rid of the old parts would mostly result in replacing them with new ones that perform the same function regardless of how it looks on the surface. "Changing the culture" sounds nice but those deep-rooted issues don't disappear just because you publicly expose a few high-ranking executives of misconduct. How many corrupt politicians have been exposed for who they were throughout history and has politics changed for the better today? Seems like it's worse than ever before. The game is rigged.

I dont think its going to bring the whole systemic change most people want but it will shed some light. No one can stop people from action like jerks. But this can show that people dont have to accept it.

Bad workplace environment is everywhere not just Hollywood. I think Fisher is just trying to show that people should stand up to it. like most have said, the guilty parties dont even work there anymore.

but if people think this will stop a-holes from acting out then they are living in a dream world

haven't you guys learned anything from the superhero comics we've always read?

even if bad things will always continue to happen, doesn't mean people should stop fighting to change it.

change doesn't happen overnight.

maybe ray wants to be the spark that lights the fire that will burn down toxic work culture in hollywood (to borrow a quote from one of the best star wars movie )

if ray is really sincere about all this, then i'm all for it.

less toxicity in the workplace = better product too.
everyone wins from this.

He doesn't need to end the problem for his actions to be worthwhile, a path is made by laying one stone at a time.
He is being part of the solution.
The systemic problems rely on people keeping their heads down and not speaking up.
The more people speak out the harder it is to get away with it.

It's crazy at how much people are bashing Ray on other sites when some of his coworkers support and admit somethings clearly went on behind the scenes. Whedon is known to be a pest behind the scenes. I wonder if there is another reason why people are not supporting this man one bit but have wanted to wait in the past when other people made similar claims in the past................

If nothing else this has put way more of a focus on the incident than WB would've liked. Even if it goes nowhere ultimately, Ray brought attention to it.

Actually, an hour and 20 minutes later.

I did wonder why that wasn't something they would leave for Fandome.

I remember wondering at the time if this was the case or if it was just something they couldn’t keep a secret.

They didn't leave the Michael Keaton reveal for Fandome as well. lol Though let's be fair, obviously Ray strategically tweeted all that stuff so close to Fandome to see if WB would try to take the attention away from him, and it worked. He gave them the bait and they took it. That's why he's now using their own stupidity against them. Just like he knew it would work when he brought Hamada into it, since that was the only way they could actually respond directly to him. This certainly hasn't been his first rodeo. But if we can see what he's doing, how come a multi-billion dollar movie studio couldn't. :hehe:

I wouldn’t be surprised if WB just ignored him moving forward. He’s somewhat silenced by an NDA so there’s only so much he can say.

Ignore Fisher? It's that type of approach that keeps getting WB in trouble in the first place. They need to take the George Costanza route. Whatever impulse they have, do the opposite.
