Justice League Ray Fisher - WB Investigation Updates Thread

To be fair, fuzzy/CGI upper body on a computer screen for 30 seconds I guess doesn't really constitute as a full "appearance".
He's listed in the credits.
I wouldn't make fun of a casual viewer not remembering, but this is supposed to be a professional journalist writing a story about Ray Fisher and his role as Cyborg in the DCEU.
It isn't some obscure factoid that's easy to overlook, it's mentioned in the second sentence of his Wikipedia page. It's such an easy thing to check, for Gonzalez or his editor. It's hard to take the article seriously, when it makes such basic mistakes about it's subject. It's the sheer laziness that annoys me.

The claim in that THR piece from last year was that they had reached out to several Justice League actors to see about cameos. It'd be a bit awkward if literally everyone else from the movie comes back except Ray, but if it's just a few of them you can reasonably assume he's off doing something else. Or on monitor room duty at the Hall of Justice.

...or the character is dead.

Nah. I doubt they'd even wanna call attention to it like that. It's obvious they want this to be over, and inserting a middle finger to Fisher in the movie is just gonna launch another round of this back and forth.

Yeah I just think he won’t be there, there probably will be a scene with some of the league members and it’ll be just like a mission. Tbh it’s no different to the comics or the animations cause the league members aren’t always in every issue/episode.

They could always go for the Shazam style cameo if they were desperate.

The comments are already calling him a snake for being photographed with Whedon at an event...8 years ago. Some people are weird.

The piece he did on Leonard Roberts' abuse on the Heroes set was very well done.

I don’t even bother reading the comments. Folks will say just about anything.

As far as firings, Ray should just not comment as it isnt something that he would be privy to.

That’s not necessarily true. I’ve often known when my superiors were on their way out prior to it being formally announced. In one instance I knew before she did because I was the once who spearheaded the whole thing.

I doubt that WB let him know anyone who was getting the boot and if they did, he would not be allowed to discuss it openly on social media.

I’m trying to remember at what point this turned into a legal investigation. I remember way back in July it started with him throwing shade at Whedon and then it just spiraled outta control since. I wonder if that initial post by Fisher back in July was meant to be the precipice of all this or if he was just simply blowing off steam on social media.

He'd mentioned talking to a lawyer before that, but I first noticed the legal aspect and the serious potential ramifications during the fallout of that infamous Farooqi interview.

woah nelly, he got a little more specific this time around.

even said he would submit to a polygraph. its getting real now, folks.

How will WB respond? Drag out one of their film makers to praise Hamada?

The apparent surprise he has here and in his prior tweet makes me think maybe "I won't work on any film Hamada is involved in" was meant to be some sort of ultimatum and he was hoping the company would get rid of Hamada.

Im sure they'll state the script went through many revisions. The investigation didnt find anything as far Hamada intervening.

With respect, I don't know what Fisher was thinking by giving that ultimatum. Hamada is too crucial to the future of DC Films for him to be let go unless he done something really drastic.
