Sam was going to but she broke it off first. Said she needed some lone time & left town.

Right. If the character even comes back, they could probably tie up everything with her in a couple guest appearances. The show seems to be focusing much more on Andi and the plots to kill the devil now.

Which is slightly a better direction too. Sam crossing paths with the anti-Christ is actually a good concept but i think the speed at which the show was running was a little slow to pick up an audience. They seem to be moving faster now and i think it definitely shows.

Also, did Steve die? Tony seems to be taking it pretty well

That was resolved in the episode right after the betrayal.
