Both the western and the meta sound fantastic.

The western I'll wait on, since theres no news as to how yet. The meta episode... I'm sorry, i know a lot of folks like it, but to me it sounds like an absolute joke. Nowhere near the tone we saw in this series in it's earlier days.

Thanks, Debbie Downer.

Hey just my opinion... Everyone else is free to enjoy it or hate it on their own terms. To me it's just too sitcomish. Meta humor is popular nowadays, and thats fine. This will just be way too much for my tastes.

I'd have to believe Smallville has something to do with it - it's been dragged on so long that quality suffered, and most Supernatural fans fear a similar fate.

Plus Kripke made it awkward by saying 'we have a five year story' for so long. Effectively admits that everything after that is shooting from the hip.
That's exactly what I fear happening with Supernatural. They can only keep up the good writing before it starts to tank. They killed all the high ranking demons that we know of and Lucifer is trapped. All the Horsemen except for Death are gone and I kinda doubt they want to f*** with him. The pagan gods are hurting especially after Lucifer destroyed most of the skyfathers and skymothers. Now they're dealing with the Alphas now that Crowley is dead. Where else can you go ? Have the brothers fight ? Nah , they've already done that s** several times.

I believe you mean that they've done that... every single season. :woot:

I'm so over the "Is Sam evil" and Dean reacting to it storyline. They've legitimately been working that since early season 2. C'mon. The "no soul" thing was just another variant of it. Same story, different setting.

From the sound of things the western episode sounds to be about Sam and Dean going back to find Samuel Colt. So could we be getting some answers about the Colt? I remember there being a big discussion at this thread about the Colt so could we be getting answers?

Yeah I mentioned this in another thread. Since there has a been a change up high. I am worried that they will want to keep Supernatural around as well. I still enjoy this season very much. But there is a sense that this season is being done on the fly. & it is pretty apparent that they are running thin.

I really hope this is the last season.

I did enjoy the Terminator Sam of this season.

That's why I didn't get mad when they canceled Angel after 5 seasons. The ending was rushed , but that was because it was a last minute thing. A lot better than Buffy's 7 seasons.

Oh yeah, the Angel story was definitely due to get wrapped up... it had kind of gotten out of control, what with the main characters running the world's leading evil law firm and thinking it was okay.

The only complaint there is the one you noted - rather than giving the production team time to put together a good finish, they gave them what amounted to a few weeks notice. Still a solid ending, but nowhere near what it could have been.

Anyone that's familiar with the Buffy and Angel comics is well aware that the respective stories are way past their primes... things are really, really out of hand now.

Meh, to me it wasn't all that different than the Sam we saw when Dean first came back from the dead.

They got a few good jokes and punchlines out of it, but in the end the storyline was just more forced "Is Sam Evil" angst.

I have little problem with the show continuing as long as possible. If a few bad episodes are what I have to sit through then so be it.

I'm betting Sam gets released from the cage but he turns pure evil. In every season they have been hinting at that happening and Dean will regret not killing him. If he gets out of the cage, I see him being pure evil.

I know that's a pretty random post that is pretty off topic but what can I say? I love to drink rum! :woot:

The Supernatural situation isnt the same as Buffy fighting a big bad every season. Supernatural fought big bads like Yellow Eyed Demon, Liltih. But they fought THE DEVIL the biggest bad guy in most if not all folklore.

It's just a step down to be fighting some ole demons, vampires, etc. It's kinda like Superman saving the world in one movie and then going to save one building for a whole movie.

The show isnt bad it just feels like a step backwards. Youre supposed to work up in scale, not work up and then go down. But I'll keep watching as long as the story is somewhat decent

I've read about their books. Man are they stupid. I don't even count them as canon even though Joss wrote them and had lots of input in them. The end of magic sounded cool , but they f***** it up so bad. Angel..... I don't even want to comment on what happened there.

Bobby and the boys say their goodbyes... but to WHO?

Maybe to the show? I kid! I don't think this is the last season so...............I'm guessing it's their granddad.

Also, when God finally shows up in the show, how many of you think it's going to be their dad? I know it will be either him or Kripke or however you spell his name.

I'm guessing it's someone who's already died. Wouldn't they burn the remains if one of their people died?

Yeah strange they are not buring the remains. Maybe a grave of some who died like you said, John?

That's only the first step. Second would be re-signing the cast...

Jensen and Jared had already signed up for a seventh season when they re-signed for their sixth season contracts.

The western, they will be going back in time to find Samuel Colt(supposedly in 1861), and along for the ride will be an ally of Castiel's named Rachel, and most likely even Castiel himself will be involved. Plus, a man named Elias has something to do with the episode, and me thinks it could be Elias Elkins, as that would make sense on 1.) the hunter Samuel made the Colt for, and 2.) how Daniel Elkins had the revolver in the first place.

And the meta episode, yes, it may sound like a "joke" with it breaking the fourth wall, but the angel hitman that Raphael sends out(I hope this was mentioned in a previous page), name Virgil, sends them to an AU where Castiel is just a normal human for an easy kill.

Is this a recent picture? Because, if that's the case, I'm thinking it could be [BLACKOUT]Rufus since he's in the sixteenth episode, "...And Then There Were None"...and they could possibly have burned the body, but still make a tombstone for him.[/BLACKOUT]

Yes thats a recent picture.
