Saw the pilot of this 2 months back and its great and I will be championing this show. Having said that, I hate the fact people are thinking its a Kevin Smith show when all he did was the pilot/first-episode
The show has a great premise and a good quirky set of characters to make it a cult hit. Hope it does well, the reviews have been great and Brett Harrison is a funny dude (seeing from his Grounded For Life and Loop days)

I don't know, it's on CW, so expectations shouldn't be too high. The only thing working against it in my mind is it's lead-in. At least CW is broadening it's horizons a little giving the guys another show. If it was on Fox, I'd agree the show would be pulled before November.

I'm a big fan of Supernatural and Veronica Mars, I'm not knocking CW, I'm saying the show won't need to meet the same ratings requirements on the CW as it would on the "big 4"

Throughout Sam's life, he always wondered why his mom and dad were so easy on him. Whether it was sports, school, career choices, or picking on his little brother Keith, Sam always got away with everything. Because of it, he decided to drop out of college and take a dead beat job, wasting most of his time playing video games and wishing he could ask his co-worker Andi out. However, everything changes in Sam's life once he turns 21 and finds out the reason his parents let him get over was because they sold his soul to the devil before he was born.

Satan explains to Sam that he must serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down souls that have escaped from Hell. Initially, Sam refuses to accept his fate but he realizes the grave consequences of breaking a deal with the devil. He is armed with various vessels to collect the escapees. Sam finds that the work is dangerous and frightening even with the goof ball help of his friends and fellow slackers Sock and Ben, and Sock's former girlfriend, Josie. As bizarre as his life becomes, Sam feels good about his newfound "missions", removing evil souls from the world and sending them back to where they belong. Along with his friends and his vessel of the week, Sam prepares to face his destiny as the "reaper".

10/10 stuff. Completely hilarious with likeable characters and cool supernatural elements. I'll be there every week.

Hmm this shows first episode like the last 2 episodes of shows i've watch this week have been below average. I didn't laugh, I didn't think the bad guy was cool, the dirt devil weapon was a weak joke that you could see coming based on the plot alone. Even the shows plot is rather lame and done to death. But hey its just the first episode, 99% of all shows first epsiodes suck.

Yeah her name is Missy Peregrym http://us.imdb.com/name/nm1335291/ Its good to see her on another show. She gets to play a good girl this time around so hopefully she won't get killed off. She may eventually get used as demon bait but I really want to see her get to help kick the demons asses.

I'm actually surprised at how good the effects were for the fire demon.

I liked it. I liked that Satan isn't played up as a totally evil being, and is just treated as someone who has a purpose to serve. He's resigned himself to the fact that he'll never overthrow God, and just does what he can to keep those who are damned in checked. I didn't think they show that big-ass blood smear after the zamboni ran over than one dude, though.

And I love Missy. She's like Jessica Biel, without the ass.
