Three words: F**kin' LOVED it. :woot:

Hmm this shows first episode like the last 2 episodes of shows i've watch this week have been below average. I didn't laugh, I didn't think the bad guy was cool, the dirt devil weapon was a weak joke that you could see coming based on the plot alone. Even the shows plot is rather lame and done to death. But hey its just the first episode, 99% of all shows first epsiodes suck.

Well, since the dirt devil was sent to Hell with the fire demon, I think there's going to be different ways to capture the demons.

I'm actually surprised at how good the effects were for the fire demon.

I liked it. I liked that Satan isn't played up as a totally evil being, and is just treated as someone who has a purpose to serve. He's resigned himself to the fact that he'll never overthrow God, and just does what he can to keep those who are damned in checked. I didn't think they show that big-ass blood smear after the zamboni ran over than one dude, though.

And I love Missy. She's like Jessica Biel, without the ass.

Yeah, Satan was great. "You're going to be the Devil's bounty hunter. How cool is that?" :woot:

And yes, Missy is bonable, same with the girl in the DA office.

wtf my thread got deleted for this??? wtfffffffff

Gotta hate it when that happens! :csad:

Anyway, Reaper was such a good premiere, and I usually don't give the CW any slack. But in this case, they didn't need any. It was well written, well acted, and smartly put together.

This show has strong potential, and that's just basing it off of one episode. :wow:

Reaper is qual-i-ty, and it's been the best premiere I've seen yet!

Got merged, um, yeah- because beat you to the punch a LONG time ago dude. Your fault, if you wanted the official thread should have started months ago. :cwink:

Loved the show :D

wish it wasn't on the same time as House tho :(

I liked it, I thought they did things just different enough with the premise to make it original. Like making the devil a likeable character, not all fire and brimstone, just happy, in some ways a prankster. Explaining why Sam's parents didn't mind him being a slacker. To me, it felt like the show could've gone down the road of just using the standard cliche, but decided to try to do something just different enough.

The device always changes. Just to give you guys an update- I added ALOT of information to my first post including:

- Comic-Con Interview Footage.
- Official Interview with Kevin Smith for Reaper.
- Spoilers on the next several episodes to come.

I was a little hesitant to watch last night (mostly because I already watch too much tv), but I was so impressed by this. It was hilarious and I plan to watch every week.

This and Chuck are on my must watch list for the rest of the season. Satan and Sock were both hilarious. I loved when satan and sam were observing the firestarter and he starts flexing, so the devil says "Eww. Look at him, what a tool."

Well the debut wasnt that different than the pilot. There was slightly added dialogue in the car park at the start and Missy. Missy's character has been completley different than the one played by the original actress. Kinda like they wrote in another character, even though shes playing the same one (more tomboy rather than girl next door)
Sock is a pretty funny side character like a budget Jack Black but he will suffice. lol@ him throwing to bottle at his ass and sayng " You were suppose to move that with your mind" , the exchange with the lawyer chick was funny (homegirl is cuter than Missy ftr:ninja: )
Ray Wise as the Devil is pretty solid casting as a charming attitude. lol@ him saying God always wins. What a defeatist attitude. lol@ him bribing the Doctor of Sam's parents.

" Meet the Shmecker Checkers!" and lol@ wating for the Dirt Devil to charge.

Definetly a solid show and will be a joy to watch

Bloody brilliant premiere. this show just shot up to must watch for me.

the only thing i'm worried about is that it really felt like Kevin Smith, and i wonder if it'll be as good when he's not directing.

To my knowledge, Smith didn't write it. So at the very least, we should get consistency in that department with or without his direct involvement.

This is a brilliant show, and has been permanently added to my DVR recorded and protected list.

Great pilot, I hope the following directors can do as good a job on this show as Kevin Smith.

I see a bright future for this show. Did anyone else catch the Christian theme? Or was I reading too much into the devil's line about God?

Hey guys, how is this show? I read about it in a mag today should be over here in the future, any good?

I don't give many shows a chance, but I had more fun with the pilot episode of Reaper than I had at most movies this summer.

Really cool! I was reading about it in SFX mag and they said it is worth seeing when it hits over here and I kind of liked the story as well, sounded cool.
thanks for the answer Cmill.

The Reaper pilot did well in the ratings.

THE CW'S "REAPER" DEBUTS BY BUILDING ON ITS LEAD-IN AND DELIVERING TIME PERIOD GROWTH IN KEY DEMOS

REAPER Recruits Young Men to The CW on Tuesday; Delivering The CW's Best Performance Ever in The Time Period in All Male Demos

September 26, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - Facing tough premiere week competition, The CW's new series REAPER got off to a solid start, building on its established lead-in, BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, by 6% in adults 18-34 (1.8/5) and 8% in viewers (3.22mil), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.

REAPER also delivered time period gains versus the "Veronica Mars" premiere (10/3/06), with growth of 6% in adults 18-34 and 7% in adults 18-49 (1.5/4).

The series debut of REAPER recruited a lot of young men to The CW on Tuesday. In fact, REAPER delivered The CW's best ratings in the time period among men 18-34 (1.8/5), men 18-49 (1.5/4) and male teens (1.7/5).

In bringing men to The CW, REAPER improved on its GEEK lead-in by 38% in men 18-34 (1.8/5), 25% in men 18-49 (1.5/4) and 31% in male teens (1.7/5).

And compared to last fall's "Veronica Mars" opener, last night's REAPER drew an impressive 64% more men 18-34, 67% more men 18-49 and 70% more male teens

Awesome. The CW better not even consider cancelling it.

I so forgot this was going to be on and then by chance I happened to turn on the TV just as it was coming on. Really glad I didn't miss it, I loved the pilot and will definitely be tunning in again.

eh...I thought this show sucked. I was bored during the pilot.
It was trying to be funny and it just...wasn't. It felt so cheap.

I give it a season.

I have a feeling you will be quite lonely in this thread.

I shudder to think of what you would consider a "good show".
