Last night's episode was imo the best so far.Ben's obsessiveness over the bird was hilarious,I also thought it was funny that no one gave a damn about the magician.

"I'm not google Sam."

"God you sound like Ted"
"Aww, that was harsh, Ted is a real *****ebag."

What's on the plate for tonight?

Tonight'll be the fifth Episode right?

So if IMDB is anything to go by...which it generally isn't...but if it is it is slightly possible that Sock might die tonight.

damn they better not kill sock. show would be right down the sh**er.

hah hah, the new weapon is a x-mas sweater??

I loved this episode (though that's becoming quite the recurring trend). A lot of foreshadowing in this one, especially with Sam's father burning a page of the contract. What's up with that?

More Andi/Sam tension goodness. More Sock hilariousness. This show is a welcome addition to my life. :D

Damn...Usually I, as the Canadian, get to watch stuff earlier....Oh well....nothing too spoilers, thanks.

But to play it safe I'll stay out of this thread for the next two hours until I have watched....But there is no way I'm missing it now...I gotta see this Christmas Sweater thing.

At least the Devil is full-on warning Sam about telling Andi the truth, but it could be another headgame. If it continued to be solely Sam's decision, I'd be frustrated. The development with the contract should be interesting. I knew Sam's father was gonna be shifty about the whole thing.

Loved the slime monster this week!

good episode tonight... great storyline developed with
the father and the contract

I have a feeling Sam's dad is only saving himself with what he did, and screwing Sam along the way.

The meeting he so badly wanted with the Devil is to save his ass, not Sam's. He's bad news.

Also, wouldn't it be cool that the reason the Devil didn't want Sam associating with Andi is because Andi - or more likely her dad - is working for the other side?

Oh yeah, Sam's Dad is definetally saving his own ass.....I bet the page he burned was a loophole that would let Sam out but then the Devil would get his parents souls or something like that.

And Carrrnuttt.....interesting theory...i figured Andi's dad will show up as an escaped guy from hell.......But what other side do you speak of? Heaven? Wouldn't heaven want these bad souls back in hell too? Or are you suggesting there is another force more evil than the Devil that is helping the souls escape and wanting to keep them out?

Interesting seeing what the dad did. I'm guessing the page he tore out covers a 2nd part of the deal that only he & the devil knows about. Something that would only benefit him.

And the devil's warning to Sam to not involve Andi makes me think of 2 things.

1. Andi is working for the other side like carrrnuttt was suggesting.

2. Andi is an escaped demon herself. Far fetched, but you never know. Hell maybe she killed her father.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the "other side" (heavenly side) might be able to undo the deal the Devil made for Sam's soul, considering Sam's only reason for being in this situation is being born.

Man I cannot believe no one has mentioned one of the best parts of last nights episode it was sig worthy :)

Sock, I know some people I can have them take care of Greg.....
Sam ummm I know the Devil I think my people trump your people....

Pure fracking gold I almost fell out of my chair.
And overall the episode was just awesome.

Good episode last night, glad they're introduced some larger story elements, hopefully Andi will stay pissed at Sam, I'd hate to see this show pull a Smallville and have Andi and Sam back to being friends and flirting without any explanation like what always happens with Clark and Lana. By the way, NateGray, I'm surprised you didn't say anything about the demon being Chief Tyrol from Battlestar Galatica since you used the term fracking.

:) it was a subtle hint glad someone picked up on, he was great in the episode to hope they use him more.

Wait....sho she killed her father....and then died and went to hell...and then escaped and returned as herself?

Not likely....but here's an idea that just popped into my mind.

Her dad died, and her dad was a bad man......so when he died, she made a deal with the devil, her Dad's soul get's into heaven, but she became the devil's servant. Now, while up in heaven her dad did some research and found the loophole and got Andi out of the contract.

So the devil doesn't want Sam hanging with Andi because she knows the way out.

I hope that he's used more too. I rather like the devil's different minions. Besides, Chief is great on BSG.

This show suffering from non-expansive storylines isn't being noticed by smallbies anymore, critics who cherished the pilot are starting to get in on the act as well:

Talk back: What TV series have you abandoned?
We're about a month into the fall TV season, so it's time to start making some hard decisions: What new series are worth our time? Which ones do we need to kick to the curb?

CBS has already decided Viva Laughlin isn't worth a chance, and I can't say I disagree -- that show wasn't on my fall viewing schedule.

"I am done with Reaper," Pop reader Jeff L. writes. "It is completely lifeless, and the main guy does nothing but look befuddled. Looked promising -- oh, well!"

At this point, I have also bid farewell to the CW's Reaper. I loved the pilot, but I didn't realize it was going to be a one-case-per-episode show, and so far the situations haven't been terribly memorable or diverse. I'm also only invested in one character -- the Devil! -- and he makes far too few appearances.

That last comment is stupid, anyone who didn't realize this would be a freak of the week show and that the devil would be used very sparingly is dumb.

Exactly. As many have said, this is essentially the new Buffy. When Buffy started out, she had funny monster of the week episodes and then it eventually grew into a great genre show with some great character arcs. I'm sure Reaper is going there.
