I caught last week's ep last night (dvr). It was a little better than the previous two. Good to see it rebound a bit. And I'm not just talking about the plot line either. The humor of the show had pretty much stopped being funny for a couple of weeks. I was at least smiling through part of it.

Yeah, Sam's dad is obviously a *****e. I can see where Sam gets it. :o

I like the idea of imposing doom for people who actively know Sam's secret. But some of it doesn't make sense. Oh well, I read yesterday that CW ordered 6 more scripts b/f the empending strike tomorrow. But the show still hasn't been picked up for the season.

Awesome episode so far. Patton is awesome and Andi is pissing me off.

What a great episode last night! Patton Oswald talking from the vessel was great, getting Sock to trust him more and more, being more than willing to help Sock play some pranks on the boss of the Work Bench, awesome. Also really liked the ending Sam standing up to not only Patton Oswald’s character, but also the Devil and Andi. Liked that Andi didn’t just forgive him, he actually had to work really hard to get his friend back. Also the Devil being so bummed out about Halloween was great, everyone taking the day off, reminded me a lot of Buffy when special rules applied for the holiday.

I liked the rapport between the Devil and Sam much more in this episode. It had a lot less puny whiney Sam, it just felt like there was more depth there than before. A nice change of pace. Patton certainly did some good work in this episode too, very funny.

This was easily the best episode yet. A lot of people have been saying that every week and I've refrained from doing so, but I can't help but say so this time. Patton Oswalt as Leon was absolutely brilliant. I was hoping that he was actually going to get away at the end of the episode and we'd see him in the future.

With any luck we'll see him in possible future seasons after managing to get out of hell again.

This show is definitely the better ''Dork who works at a Best Buy/Lowes type place in a position he never thought he would be" of the two new shows with that type premise.

Yep.

But both shows are head and shoulders above all the other newbie shows, with maybe the exception of NBC's "Life" (my opinion).

Did anyone else notice how passionately Ray Wise (the devil) was smoking that cigarette in the alley?? Now that's method acting! Totally fell in line with his character, and I'm glad they showed it (when smoking is often frowned upon on TV now). Props to Ray Wise for going the extra mile in translating his character.

Other than that, we're 5 or 6 episodes in, and I'm already feeling the need to add a "once-a-season-or-so" visit from Patton Oswald's character. He not only carried the episode with his comedic timing and TV experience, but I wonder if it at all influenced the other actors (Sam/Sock/etc...), because they still haven't rebounded from the pilot.

Another great episode all around.
Loved the end where Sam called the Devil out on him lying good stuff.

He was SO in the moment on that scene! He was genuinely pissed off abut Halloween. The whole moody atmosphere of that scene was great. Very surreal, almost David Lynn-ish.

i loved that scene too, it looks like sam's finally getting a grip on things and learning how to handle his life as the devils's bounty hunter.

No one watched today? So far so good.....Sock just hit Ben in the nuts...that was funny.

hmmm, okay, now this is interesting....it looks like the Devil is trying to get Sam hooked up with Taylor.....and by default, away from Andi.

I saw tonight's show. It was great for one reason:

Curtis Anderson, best known as Booger from Revenge of the Nerds!

I loved it when he offered Sam, Ben and Sock some of the high stuff, reminds me of when he played Booger on Nerds and Booger would get stoned often.

:woot:

Booger....or Gus, did rule the hell out of this episode.....he mad up for the absence of ....Ted? The boss guy......I hope that Gus shows up again..he was hilarious...I loved that Ben wanted to hang out with himl

Bam another awesome episode and the Devil stole the show with his lines they were hysterical.
Oh yeh I agree great stuff Sock hitting Ben in the nuts but remember they did make a pact so it was deserved :)
The Devil's lines steal the show though and Ray Wise is just awesome as the Devil.

Its ok I didn't know you were gay... you hear that sound...its everyman in the world laughing at you.... just great stuff all around another great episode.

Why was the devil trying to tempt sam with taylor..I just didnt get that. Was he tying to lure him from andi? If sam did hook up with her, what would have happened?

That was "booger" from revenge of the nerds....wooohooooo

Yeah the Devil is trying to keep Sam from Andi. Maybe hooking up with Andi (his true love or some such) would get Sam out of the contract ?

I'm not sure the Devil was actually trying to keep Sam away from Andi. Maybe the Devil just realizes Sam isn't going to make a move on Andi, so he's trying to get Sam some action from someone else. Remember the Devil doesn't believe in love, just lust.

I missed last nights episode.:(

Well thats not the feeling I got he did play the sad song at the end after Sam left and he is the Devil he is there to make Sam miserable and he knows Sam is happy when he is with Andi.
Sam would make a move on Andi but the devil straight out told him how it would be a bad idea as when his gig with the devil goes south everyone near Sam is going south with him so he is trying to protect Andi.
