Great episode. Sock's reaction to Gladys' death was really sweet.

Also, I think it's going to turn out that Sam isn't. We've seen the devil be so goddamn smart about everything, that he probably knew the demons were watching them in the parking lot. This was mentioned by someone a few posts back.

Also, I would chop almost anything off of my body to be with Missy Peregrym. God damn.

Yeah. Since next week is the finale and they revealed it this week, I'm thinking it's too easy of an option. They're going to take it another way.

But who's to say there even is a contract - the Devil's all about lies, misdirection and deception. The contact could all be some fantastic ruse to have Sam run through hoops (as some kind of test) for the big man. Hell, maybe even Sam's parents arent all they seem.

The plot line has so much potential - and given the fact that the Devil can pretty much do anything (as long as a circle isn't involved ), the series can go where it wants.

Sam belief in the validity of the contract is the basis of the show.

The whole thing about the contract is that Sam (and everyone else for that matter - viewers included) believes it's all above board because of what the Devil and Sam's parents have told him.

Sam does the Devils bidding because he believes he has no other choice. Wouldnt it be totally like the Devil to be making the whole thing up (for whatever reason I don't know - but hey, I'm not writing the show)? It's not as if a few white lies are beyond him in order to for him to get what he wants.

Of course I remember that we saw it. Who's to say (as I've stated above) that that is actually the/a contract? Again, Sam's been presented with this big old book and been told that it's the contract for his soul; and he's accepted that on face value.

Jeez, I'm not saying that it's going to happen; I'm just saying it could be a potentially interesting twist.

Eh, it reeks of an "it was all a dream!" twist to me. It's unnecessary and creates a fundamental shift in the foundation of the show. I personally wouldn't like to see that.

Fair enuff Corp. I'd like to think that the writers would make it a tad more complex (and viable) than the lazy old Dallas 'it was all a dream thing' but hey, it was just a suggestion.
