Superman flies into the sun to save Earth, leaves a bag with directions and passwords to the FoS for Olsen. She goes to Clark's solicitor to claim the bag.

Solicitor: "Jenny Olsen... I've got nothing here under that name."

Jenny hands the solicitor a small piece of paper.

Jenny: "Try my legal one."

Solicitor: "You should use your real name. I like that name... Jimmy."

Jenny proceeds to pick up the bag, smirking like an entitles c**t while walking away.

I don't think Clark not having a bloke friend to hang out with is a problem. I think him and Perry will become close friends eventually.

I do have to wonder what the motivation for this character change is though. Could it be so more nationalities are included. The actress does seem a bit foreign?

It is odd. But I'm not tied to Jimmy as a character and have never much dug any of his onscreen incarnations (unless S:TAS counts). I look forward to this actress' take.

To be honest, James Bartholomew Olsen has never been that great of a character, so I don't mind if there's no Jimmy, and I don't think most people are going to care either. Hopefully Jenny will be interesting and likable enough.

It's sad to see all the Jimmy haterz. He's plucky, likeable, and demonstrates Clark's ability to be a role model outside of the suit. But I don't think he's essential to a film adaptation, though I DO want to see him in sequels.
