Yeah... I definitely shed a tear during the scene, where Doc Ock realizes his mistake & tries to save the city, by making a self-sacrifise. Truly magnificent scene with the magnificent score.

to me the elfman score is bland and generic. thanks goodness he hasn't been brought back.

the score doesn't 'scream' spider-man. the only reason why I associate it with spider-man instantly is because I've seen the movies so many times. spidey deserves better than a vanilla score that can played other any movie character.

there is one moment in the trilogy where elfman hits his mark and that's the 'this is my gift, my curse, who am I? I'm spider-man'

that's bit is great but I can't stand the rest of it and the bit I do like (the train sequence) was done by young not elfman. good bye and good riddence.

if horner channels his 80's self (aliens/wrath of khan) then elfman will be forgotten like a bad dream.

Anyways, when I think of a Spider-Man theme, straight away Elfman's score comes into my mind. I will always associate his score with Spider-Man.

Superman has had numerous theme from tv, and the radio
But the Williams score will forever be linked because it's perfect and screams 'superman'. Spider-man deserves no less than that, and I'm sorry elfman's score doesn't cut it (IMHO)
