If anyone can nab him, it's Disney/Marvel. Mickey Mouse persuasion.

I just hope he wouldn't overact like Csokas as Dr. Strangelov- I mean Kafka

I don't think he would though

Nah, he's one of those guys that's just naturally witty without even trying, and he brings that to his roles

Doc Ock is a must. He should definitely be the villain in the reboot. I'd like to see Mysterio and Hobgoblin in possible sequels.

Let's have a trilogy with minimal villain origins. That would make me so happy.

I think when we meet Doc Ock, he should already be long under the arm's corruption, and no redemption, we already saw that.

Mysterio. Mysterio, Mysterio, Mysterio. Whoever Spidey's fighting in his first MCU film, it needs to be a formidable opponent, someone that can really challenge Spider-Man. Mr. Quentin Beck is all of that and more.

Mysterio's just such an original character, and he could seriously revitalizing the franchise. Then I wanna see Doc Ock and Kraven (not at the same time), then it's Goblin time!

Vulture's overdue!

If they were to skip the origin and have Spidey be operating as a hero for a while then I wouldn't mind if they treated Norman Osborn/Green Goblin the same so they could evolve him into Iron Patriot (since it looks like Rhodey is back to being War Machine). He could even become an enemy of Iron Man much like he was in the comics for a while.

Yes he is! I Forgot him. I'm more eager to see him than Goblin at this point.

And Norman should be around for a while, and he's such a big figure in the marvel universe that he should show up in other films and shows

Thematically name one way Mysterio and his story enhances the story of the personal troubles of Peter Parker? How is he a good foil, how does he teach Peter a lesson, how does make Peter grow as a person on a deeper level? We need an Ock or Goblin.

Mysterio could work if the movie takes a serious look at the burden being a superhero brings upon Peter. Spider-Man is the reluctant hero, while Mysterio is the frustrated omega wishing to be the alpha. It could be interesting to see Beck realize the responsibility that comes with the increasing power he gets and that ultimately leads to his downfall. Honestly though that would take way too much time on his origin.

I'd like to see Mysterio be like Scarecrow in The Dark Knight with a brief defeat from Spidey, while he faces a larger and more established villain in the main plot.

I question what kind of role he will play given the Iron Patriot has already been used

Mysterio could easily serve as the most immediate threat in the movie with someone like Fisk or Osborn in the background.

A non-sympathetic Ock is the last thing I'd want to see.

And I agree with others that Chameleon isn't leading villain material.

But we already have a sympathetic Ock that worked flawlessly, now we need a more sinister "master-planner" type of Doc Ock.

Norman Osborn should start as an antagonist and he shouldn't become completely evil until he turns into the Green Goblin.
