I'd like to see Kraven or Doc Ock be the direct cause of Connors going Lizard, as a way destroying Peter from the inside by hitting him close to home (I'm assuming Peter and Connors will have at least a somewhat close relationship, as they do in most adaptations)

I think it'd have a greater impact if Connors decides to use the serum out of the betterment of his family, IMO.

But that scenario you proposed sounds plausible, more-so with Octavius than Kraven.

The only two already used villains I wanna see again are Goblin and Ock. Ock should be used sooner though.

I desperately wanna see Lizard in the future because of how botched I felt he was in TASM.

He had no family (though he wore a wedding ring!), and his characterization was almost identical to Green Goblin's characterization in Raimi's Spider-Man.

I like to think of The Lizard as Marvel's version of The Wolfman, not Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I definitely wanna see Ock again, though.

Ok, I actually had kind of a crazy way of how they can approach Doc Ock this time around. I recently read the book Needful Things by Stephen King, and it's about a mysterious man who opens up a store in a small town, and he tricks people into essentially selling their souls to him for his items, and the townspeople are driven mad. I was thinking, there's so many spiderman villains that fit the description of 'selling their soul' through science: Lizard, Morbius, even doc ock himself. What if doc ock plays a role as the provider, who offers local scientists like lizard and michael morbius certain scientific advancements such as a cure for Michael morbius' blood disease and a regen serum for Connor's arm. Doc Ock would essential be treating them as his own little test subjects; pawns in his own game. It'd be a good way of tackling multiple villains without flooding the story with subplots, by having the side villains play small roles that are connected directly to the main villain

I want to see Venom, but years from now, shortly after Spider-Man gets the symbiote suit in Marvel's Secret Wars.

That'd definitely give Octavius a new approach. :hmm

What if Connors aids Peter like how Star Labs aid the Flash in the current show?

That'd be neat, it'd kinda remind me of the 90s cartoon.

Either way, if we can't get Lizard, I still wanna see Connors on the big screen again.

Whoever the first villain is (please be Mysterio), it'll be great that we most likely won't be seeing the origin again, and the love story won't be dominant. They'll get the development they need.

Peter is best friends with Mary Jane and Harry Osborn, he's trying to balance his personal life (job, Aunt May, grades, etc.) with his superhero life (trying to have a good reputation though the majority see him as a menace, new villains emerging, etc.), and that's it.

With that stuff in mind: At the lowest you could have an enjoyable Spider-Man film and at the highest you could have a great Spider-Man film.

It's just a matter of putting the pieces together correctly.

I'm also firmly in the Mysterio camp.

He can easily be tied to a mysterio storyline

In the solo movies, at least, I want to see Spidey fight his own battles.

I've always seen him as the underdog hero, since even the character underneath the mask is a man against the odds.

I think Flash needs Star Labs because the team helps him understand his power in ways which even he can't.

Sounds interesting, if more of a Kingsley-style role than Ock.

Nah. Punisher should be rebooted in the MCU in an R rated movie similar to the short film Punisher: Dirty Laundry. He shouldn't make his MCU debut in a Spidey film.

But he made his original comic debut in spiderman :oldrazz:

And he would probably be introduced first in the netflix series, but I'd like to see him show up in spiderman

You're absolutely right. Webb wanted to have Connors' humanity shine through the Lizard, but the lizard persona should almost be like a demon possessing Connors

As much as I actually liked Punisher War Zone, I'd rather he be introduced attempting to take down Spidey. It would be the best way to reintroduce him to audiences.

Mysterio frames spiderman for murder. Punisher chases down spidey. Unmasks him, realizes he's just a kid, not a murderer. Boom, punisher.

It'd be nice if they actually started building a world for Spidey this time. I know that that was their intention in the TASM flicks, but every villain coming from this single company isn't world building. Let's be honest, Shocker cant carry a movie on his own, he might be a great hired gun with some extra depth, but i dare you to come up with a movie palatable story with shocker as a main villain. SO yeah, the solution is to establish different ranks of villains, who run the organized crime and so on. Oscorp has never in any version been the end all be all

Shocker could if they did the death of Jean DeWolff story and replaced Sin-Eater with Shocker.

If they ever did adapt Death of Jean Dewolff, I've always had a feeling they'd replace sin-eater with a bigger villain. Shocker would be my pick.

Sin-Eater was pretty cool though
