I wonder if Spidey were to come into the MCU if they could deal with the symbiote's alien origin on something like Agents of Shield or a GotG2 credits stinger. Something that could explain how it ended up on Earth and makes it so they don't have to go the SM3 route with the random meteor landing nearby Peter.

YES! I love the idea of Spider-Man having a big role in Infinity War and obtaining the symbiote either in Part 1 or 2, before bringing it back to Earth for his own solo film the following year.

Peter would already have the symbiote from the very beginning of the movie and wear it throughout the entire film. I'd introduce Brock and the rest of the Bugle where Peter works and use Scorpion as the main villain with Sin Eater as a sub-plot (Stan Carter revealed to be a former Agent of Shield would tie in perfectly). Brock names an innocent man as the identity of Sin Eater, but gets fired after his story is debunked. Post-credits we see Brock become bonded to the symbiote in a church.

What if Norman Osborn as Iron Patriot is a secondary villain to mysterio. Mysterio could frame spidey for a crime and so Norman swoops in to capture the menace, hoping to get the kind of support for Oscorp that Stark will likely get for his company after he develops a registration act in civil war.

The only issue is how he'd get the Iron Patriot suit from Rhodey.

Jensen Ackles is perfect for the role. He can play a variety of roles and pull them off with ease. That said some characters should stay true to the roots, as those types of characters are defined at a glance (I liked the idea Raimi was striving for with Topher as Venom, but the reason Venom was such an awesome villain for Spidey was because of the size difference).

I'd be on board with Jensen Ackles as Eddie Brock / Venom. He's good at playing all sides whether he's a good guy, bad, in between, etc. He could pull it off no doubt.

This suggestion just makes me think back to My Bloody Valentine & how fantastic he was there, especially the last half hour of the film. Really intense. I bet he could bring that same energy to Venom.

In the Age of Ultron trailer we see Rhodey with one of the glove portions of his armor. It looks grey, so he's probably back to being War Machine. The Iron Patriot suit could be anywhere.

I hope, I prefer the War Machine armor for Rhodey.

Love to see GG again with a better mask, but want to see Mysterio for sure

Tom welling for venom lol. But really I would love to see tom welling play a villain at some point. I think he is a good actor and when he played bad clark on smallville he was even better. He plays bad really really while.

I'm starting to lean toward introducing Kraven/Chameleon in the next movie(if Marvel is involved). Chameleon could be used in a variety of ways in the MCU. Plus the story of Kraven burying Spider-Man alive would go along great with what I posted a few days ago in the TASM3 thread about the hero presumed to be dead.

I love the idea of Kraven/Chameleon or Kraven/Lizard.

Nice thought towards to the opening scene, by the way. It'd be a nice way to get the film going. In fact, I'd have it continue after that:

-Spider Bite before the Marvel Studios logo
-During the opening credits, have flashes of Peter passing out, him discovering his powers, the wrestling event, the TV event, the death of Uncle Ben, catching the murderer, etc.
-Open roughly two or three months after the origin of Spider-Man.

How cool would it be if Quentin Beck and Trevor Slattery were showbiz partners back in the day??

Awesome idea! Maybe Mysterio can find a way to, y'know, make the end of Iron Man 3 never happen.....and we'll actually have the real ****ing Mandarin!!!!

Hahaha!

Ben Kingsley probably would've been a good mysterio now that I think about it.

While I love Tom Welling & agree with notion of him portraying another comic book character, I don't think Venom would be the right one for him.

In fact, I don't really think Spider-Man would be the franchise for him. He'd fit in better somewhere like in the GOTG or Captain America series.

If Marvel gets the rights to Spider-Man, then we could see some of Spider-Man's lower rouge villains appear on Agents Of Shield. Tom Welling could play someone like Hydro-Man, as that show would be perfect for him to appear on, as well as the villain.

Yup. Too bad he was wasted on one of the dumbest movie twists in recent history.

Yea, but I've warmed up to it actually. As long as there is still a real mandarin out there somewhere, I'm cool with it
