^Oh, I agree. Just sayin' it isn't impossible.
That was 31 years ago. Things have changed a bit since.
I think WB would want this for a summer release but who knows they might just stick with a December release.
LOL.
Superhero films do tend to be major Summer blockbusters.
Christmas could be good though. It worked for Superman: The Movie
If filming can start late 2011 (which I am still not convinced it can), Fall into the following year, I'd imagine they'd need a warm weather location. Otherwise they'd take this down to Australia again? So what city would they base it in if that's the case? L.A would absolutely destroy their budget. Maybe Orlando or something? Usually these films go to Canada or stay up north.
All we know is start production in 2011, unless I missed some specific dates within that year.

Well if they are fast tracking a film, they could be filming by mid to late summer next year. Just look at how quickly they fast tracked Justice League. Granted, it got shelved but you see my point.
Just because the film is done, doesn't mean they have to release it. Look at Harry Potter.

and that was over 20 years ago...the movie landscape has changed dramatically since then or did you not notice??
S:TM came out christmas day? And Superman popular these days so he could still make great money during the holidays. Alot of people would be off work and would do and see the movie.
It's not about winning or losing. If we get a new film, then we all win, right? That's a fair point. I lose...![]()

Which is why Christmas might work, with less SH competition. I agree though that Winter is more "Oscar caliber" type films and "artsy" flicks for the most part. I think WB, etc will keep the Superhero/action movies in the Summer. I was just pointing out that Christmas has been done before with Superman. I wasn't actually suggesting that date. If a new film does well though, there's no reason they couldn't do a Holiday season re-release.Oh yeah, Superman is still popular, but just not as popular now. Spider-Man and Batman are the most popular right now. Iron Man seems to be gradually joining them in popularity.
Thats why its perfect because no one sees those films.Which is why Christmas might work, with less SH competition. For such a dark character, Batman seems to shine an awful lot.Yeah when 911 hit he was very popular because of his ideals. he goes true these phases watch when the next movie comes out everybody will be a huge fan again. Its just batman and Iron time to shine.
