Remakes that wouldn't drive you crazy!

^^^^Agree, thats definitely the way remakes should work.

Thanks. Well, I've never liked remakes just for the sake of remaking something. If you're going to do a remake, actually re-make it, don't just duplicate it and add some nice special effects. Make it better.

*waits for some poor ill-informed fool to say BTTF so the world will implode*

G.I. Joe(it will need to be)

A Clockwork Orange: I think this could work really well because the actors were and still are unknowns.

I like Ewan McGregor as Alex

Omg! I Cant Take This Thread Anymore! These Suggestions Should Be Criminal

Some of these suggestions are absolutely bloody awful, but also completely indicative of the logic that causes all this remake madness - "it's 'outdated', so let's update it, make it hip and now and edgy!"

I completely agree with the suggestion of Van Helsing. That's the type of movie that should be remade - one with a great concept but awful execution.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

Black and White? What the hell is that?

The rosebud movie but with Vince Vaughn this time

and anything by Monty Python, Broken Lizard could do such a better job

Hope, you pick up the sarcasm cause Im putting it on pretty thick

It's not really so absurd. People have been remaking stage productions for years. Nearly every high school in North America probably does some remake of a Shakespeare play. I imagine in 15-20 years high school students will be remaking the film Gladiator for their 3 film credits.

Thats the nature of theatre, not of film.

And dont use school plays as an example. I would never watch a films students remake of Jurassic Park.

This is the only good suggestion in this thread.

Van Helsing fan I assume? Still surprised that movie has fans but oh well.

Never actually saw Flash Gordon but that new TV series is lame

I wouldn't remake Flash Gordon, either. It's a perfectly campy space opera fit for the time it was made. It's goofy by nature, and certainly doesn't need a grim n' gritty update.

Ugh, and the new show blows hardcore.

Lost In Space

Event Horizon

Alien Vs Predator

Last Action Hero
