Remakes that wouldn't drive you crazy!

G-Day is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I really dont want to see it remade.
I agree that it is indeed one of the funniest films ever made, I loved it. I don't have it in my collection(yet), but I saw it three times before: once last night, once today and once more in March of 2002 if I recall. I know a lot of people don't like to support remakes, if they were remaking something like: 'Ghostbusters' or 'Die Hard' without the original cast, that wouldn't feel right at all. If they wanted to make a foul of themselves by making the film suck, don't bother.

Remake the Spiderman films. They were great, but just didn't cut it for me.
Remaking X-Men wouldn't be so bad either.

I'd be interested having those films set in the 1960s/1970s with today's (and future's) technology.

if only we could go back in time .

I'm sure one day they'll (all 6 episodes) will be remade and then double dipped 5 times for the DVD equivalent.

Sphere is a definite candidate, as the 1st half was faithful while 2nd half was not and ruined the movie. Set it in the 1980s like the book. Or still don't maintain a great story then throw it all away.

The Terminal Man would work great in today's world.

I looked at IMDb's Bottom 100, yeah even from those I couldn't see anything that could be remade.

The day the earth stood still

all black and white monster movies back in the day.

Mortal Kombat
I'd like to see a new spin on the X-Men series even though I liked the 3 movies
For some reason I always wanted them to do The Wizard of Oz over. (not Tin Man that came on Sci-Fi)

I've certainly been open to a remake of The Creature from the Black Lagoon for years now. As it's by far one of my favourite films, and the creature itself being my own personal favourite out of all the classic Universal monsters.

Unfortunately, Jennifer Connelly always struck me as being perfect for the Julie Adams/Kay Lawrence role in a remake of Black Lagoon. But that's even more unlikely to happen now since she's starring in a remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. But stranger things have happened I suppose.

'Darkman' reboot with Aaron Eckhart because it seems ironic that he could jump from half of his face being mangled to all of his face being mangled.

Im thinking Nightbreed could use a remake. Never liked that movie.

I could be down for that, I dont see them making as cooky characters as the originally did though.

I would like to see the lead role(Cadet Carey Mahoney) go to maybe Vince Vaughn or Ben Stiller. Maybe have Steve Carrell and Christine Taylor in the movie. I don't think it's one of them movies you remake that will draw in a sequel like they did in the 80's.

Not sure if anyone said it, but a remake of the Wizard of Oz would be pretty cool with either Guillermo Del Toro or Tim Burton behind it.

I'd love to see either director take a crack at it, but let's face it, it could be a near flawless movie, and most people would still say it's not as good as the original.

I really honestly can't think of a film I'd like to see remade.

Similar concepts and themes?...maybe...but films?

nah.

The more I think of it the more I love the idea of a Police Academy remake. Im pretty much sold on the idea of Judd Apatow doing it with the Apatow regulars.
