Resident Evil CGI movie in the works

I don't know what to think, yet.
I hate to see unfinished things, like RE3, so I expect a 4th movie with a good conclusion before a CGI RE.

Buut thats just it, if they keep down the path they've been on for 3 movies, there can NOT be a "good" conclusion, only a craptastic conclusion. Everyone responsible for those 3 movies needs to be banned from ever touching anything that has anything to do with any kind of movie,ever.

Didn't Capcom say they were gonna make their own RE film a long time ago. I guess now they're confirming it.

I hope this does for Resident Evil what Advent Children did for Final Fantasy.

I also hope it has the you know characters from the game and the big ass monsters the movies didn't have the guts or money to do.

Also get the voices from RE4 to reprise their roles. Wesker was never more badass than he was in RE4. He looks like a freaking wussy in that Extinction garbage.

I really liked the third movie, actually. I could complain about the first and the second...but the only thing I complain about the third is the end. that's why I gave a 9 instead of a 10 in the other thread.

I heard that too. if there's a RE4, let's just hope the CGI RE won't come in the same year...if this hit the theaters, of course.

The live-action Resident Evil trilogy starring Milla Jovovich is over (thank God for that) but it's not the last we'll be seeing of the horror series on the big screen.

Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment are currently busy at work on another Resident Evil film, this time dumping the real people in place of CG graphics.

The new CG animated film, titled Biohazard: Degeneration, hopes to better the live-action efforts with "groundbreaking visual effects and a brand-new story line".

Plot specifics are yet to be revealed, but you can expect to be chomping popcorn in front of Sony's zombie-filled work in 2008.

Very good....of course the live action films are not canon in term of the whole RE story line....but if they get this right it may be a worthy story that fits in well with the games...I hope.

Well the story is canon until the Capcom or the original creators of RE say so IMO. If they have no ties to the film it can be disregarded.

Plus the first T virus outbreak was with Rebbeca and Bill. No way should they mess with the story and take the outbreak further back!!

Like it could show Racoon City introducing some characters of the town,then have a police helicopter making it's rounds in the air where the pilot sees a huge bonfire up near the mansion with a bunch of kids having a party.

At the party you see all the kids talking and having fun.One kid sitting in a chair sees a dog,and call it over.When the dog comes over you see it is a zombie dog,and it bites the kid on the hand.

When the pilot gets back at headquarters he tells the patrol officers about the party up at the mansion,so the patrol officers head up to the mansion in their patrol car.

Then you see the patrol car driving up to the bonfire as the two cops see the kids all around the bonfire and you can hear the loud music.

The officers get out to make the kids go home,but after the cop yells at the kids,the kids turn around to look at him,and you see that all the kids are zombies.

The first cop is torn to pieces,as the second cop runs over to the patrol car.The second cop can't get the car started since his partner was the one with the keys.

The cop is calling for help on the radio,and then you see the cops at the Racoon Police Department hearing that their fellow brothers are in trouble and need help ASAP.

That does not fit dude......

Both STARS teams had already gone to the mansion....before it expodes. That would make more sense if you say that the mansion expoldes, kids go to take a look, turn zombies, kill the clean up crew who arrive at the mansion, and then the city is over run...which is RE2/3....

So still need to be wary of not screwing up everything.

That could work but the orignal STARS team that went to investigate already went up to investigate something else at the mansion.

Actually, STARS didn't know anything about the Mansion. They were looking for their comrades who went to investigate strange murders in the woods. Then they got attacked by dogs and found the mansion when they were running away.

That was the second team that went up....

OK

Bravo team went first. To ivestigate odd murders on the outskirts of town...(which could fit with the kids at the mansion bonfire etc...)

Alpha then went up to find Bravo team.

For me anyway it would be far more promising to see the original out break with bravo and alpha teams appearing. Right up to the explosion of the mansion. Basicly RE0 and RE1 on film.
