The letter that we got the sound file doc # from said they had a strain of transmissions coming from a hidden outpost. Maybe we have to break apart the transmission to discover the source?

Not sure how to do that, just posting my thoughts...

I'm trying to see if there's somehow you can interpret sonar, but I really don't understand how you'd be able to...

I'm not sure, I just figured that the letter is the only thing pointing us in any kind of direction and in it they were talking to Hale about him helping them uncover the outpost behind the recorded transmissions...I know nothing about audio though, so I have no idea how to even begin playing with the file...

I already tried running it through a spectrograph, and playing it backwards. I'm out of ideas.

For what it's worth, it does sound like there's a weird crystalline noise towards the end of the transmission. I'm probably grasping at straws though...
