Like the movies or not, Spider-Man producer laura ziskin has died of breast cancer.

Moment of silence for her please. :csad:

May she rest in peace. She was a big part of the reason Spider-man was able to get on the big screen. For that we have to be eternally thankful.

RIP Laura. Thanks for helping make the Spider-man trilogy possible. :csad:

I agree. This is very sad. :(

I've read and watched so many interviews with her since 2001, it almost feels like I knew her. Hard to believe she was 61 though, she looked a lot younger.

May she rest in peace. I'm thankful she was hugely responsible for my favorite films, and she was so passionate and caring about them.

Thank you Ms. Ziskin for all that you have done. My thoughts and prayers to Ziskin and her family. She was an amazing person. Besides the Spider-Man movies she was also a producer of the Academy Awards shows.

RIP.

With The Amazing Spider-Man being her last movie that she has produced, there better be some dedication to her, imo.

R.I.P. Laura!

This truly is so sad. As Snape said, it feels as though we came to know her so well because of so many interviews. Without her, Spider-Man wouldn't be on the big screen and for that, I thank her. Thank you Laura Ziskin, you will be missed.

:(

She truly was an important part of why Spider-Man is actually in films today. Thank you, Laura.

As soon as I logged on and saw it on the homepage, I was in total shock, for real!
Even though I had known about her cancer scare & survival, the interviews we got out of her regarding The Amazing Spider-Man, you'd assume she was still good & healthy.
No doubt she would have wanted to see it through to the end.

I personally liked Spider-Man 3 also, even though it gets a lot of hate.
RIP Laura Ziskin, you helped bring my favourite superhero of all time to life, for that I will always be thankful! God Bless your soul

Thats so sad.

My mother just came back from the hospital for a checkup cause of a lump in her breast. Thank God it was only a sist, could of been far worse.

And just last night we were talking about how some people get the all clear, and you know just inches away in the waiting room, somebody is dying next to you.

R.I.P. Laura.

She was lovely on the Spider-Man 2.1 commentary.

R.I.P. Laura.

^^ That's sad, man. My Aunt died from cancer about a month ago.

I'm so sorry.

Its a truly horrible thing.

My mother just told me that there was a little girl who had it. It makes me sick at the thought of good innocent people having something like cancer, and all the while theres monsters walking around hurting others, nothing wrong with them. Its cruel.

Very sad news, thanks for the great movies Laura.

Wonderful reading of the charity/cancer organisations she was involved with. Very generous woman and she will be missed. RIP.

It's rather sad to think of the deaths we've had since Spider-man 3. Laura's is tragic, but I think the suicide of the British reporter in Spidey 3(Lucy Gordon was her name)was probably the saddest.

R.I.P

I love the first two Spider-Man movies. They are apart of me and I appreciate her work on bringing me movies that are very close to my heart.

Such sad news. R.I.P Laura. :(

Thank-you for all charity work and for giving me some of my favourite movies.
