That is all. Do you have any other arguments that I can refute by stating the franchise title?

Um let me chime in on that. The Planet of the Apes 68' is a great movie and not a single one after that was even close to it's greatness. So I consider this "franchise" more of a complete milking of the so far unmatched and much more well done original and now Fox since Beneath the Planet of the Apes has been offering pure schlock in comparison to the first.

So all you've really proved is that they are using the original title to some capacity to get people to buy tickets. Like every single terrible sequel its spawned has done. No one is disputing the reuse of the originals title.

The original is great because it leaves the entire backstory somewhat ambiguous so the apes complete take over seems even more frightening and scary by the end of the movie.

This takes all that away and replaces it with a seemingly unbelievable scenario. Humans with our incredibly advanced weaponry equipped national guard would take these creatures out easy, thats not even counting people who independently own weapons. They'd be dead within the first 4 days regardless of a more developed intelligence due to some sort of "experiment" plus drug treatment.

No way people would be down with renegade chimps breaking necks. They're going to get shot.

No "starring Academy Award nominee James Franco" or "Golden GLobe nominee Brian Cox" instead they say from Weta the makers of the effects of Avatar. Huh

you know what i will watch this movie because i need to find out how will Caesar gather all monkeys. will they come from the whole world? how the f... can the monkeys from the zoo take over a city. a city. military,cops,....
it makes no sense to me. so i need to watch this movie to find out.

i know seriously! i find that pretty ******ed that a planet that has more humans that monkeys can not take them on. humans have weapons (guns, rocket launchers, fighter jets, etc.) and all monkeys probably have are just rocks

don't really care much for it. i like the original where the guy gets warped into some blackhole or something and ends up in an Earth type planet only it's overrun by monkeys

They'll have some explanation of how it happens, I doubt they disregard the fact that we have all this **** at our disposal and let some poo flingers overtake us. They manage it somehow, just have to wait and watch it.

The trailer looked great. I would have preferred the original title, Rise of the Apes. But knowing Franco and Pinto are in this, I will definitely see the movie.
