Wasn't a fan of the first trailer, but this second one has really amped this flick up for me.

The trailer looked great but I laughed when Franco said the name of the cure is "The Cure".

Just saw the trailer. It gives me a much better look at the film. For a trailer, i think it was very well done and actually does make me want to see the movie. The first one not so much but this trailer had such a good build up and score to it that i think it may change some skeptics minds. Me being one of them. The CGI isn't mind boggling but i think not even that's enough to bring down the fact that this trailer was pretty well done. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint once its out....

Didn't even know a new trailer came out. The first one was okay, but wasn't too exciting. I have to go check out this new one.

Wow, that looked pretty cool. Much better than the first trailer. The first trailer didn't give much, but this looks pretty good.

Cool ... They just showed the new trailer during the NBA Fnals on ABC.

They just showed a spot during the NBA Finals. They're gearing it up now.

:cwink:

It was pretty cool to see. Finally starting to get the word out.

So what, is this supposed to be the prequel to the Mark Wahlberg movie?

It's a re-imagined prequel to the entire mythos.

But teh eyes aren't rightttttt! :cmad:

:awesome:

:argh:

:woot:

It kinda looks like Caesar is the only one without ape eyes though...there was a shot where this other ape was moving in closer to Caesar that looked like it had ape eyes.

Is there a link somewhere to the new trailer??

Thanx,I agree it's indeed much better than the first trailer!!(which I actually enjoyed)

Some of the CGI looked very off while most parts looked amazing,I like Franco But I'm worried about his acting in this one,Story does seem darn interesting to me&much potential to make new sequels for this one!!!!(really depends in the ending, which can go in so many ways to continue or finally let it go)

What's intersting is where they will take it from here.

Clearly it can't use any type of story like the Heston film did because we already know the 'rise' is about Apes evolving and taking over earth. Can't make a sequel about an astronaut who think's he's going to another planet which also leaves out the Burton scenario(awful movie as we all know).

I imagine from here we'd get a sequel about the Apes ruling earth and a band of humans attempting to stop them.

According to some script leak,There's a scene where on TV in the background a reporter says a NASA space shuttle is lost somewhere in orbit.....Then latter on in another scene,A reporter mentions"James Taylor"

Most likely used as a homage/nod to the original films,But could end up being used to set up a sequel IF the next director/studio/writers decide!

It still seems really different from the vibe of the other apes movies. Seems more Jurassic Park/pseudo-horror. I just don't get how they're going to make it look plausible that this rag tag group of apes can seemingly conquer 6 billion humans and all the military? I believe in the heston version its humans who were their own downfall from nuclear war?

Watching the trailer i was thinking can't they just shoot them and that's it?

Not mutch Lithgow thus far. Two secon scene with him thus far!

I'd let this fall off my radar, but I liked what I saw from a TV spot last night.

So I don't want to read through 32 pages of posts. Someone brought up the fact that in the original POTA, that the apes rose to power after the human race had a nuclear holocaust.

Anyone have any explanation without spoiling anything?
