Roach:Big in Japan

Monday I found out from my detailer that I will be living in Osaka, Japan for the next three years. While I am excited about this because it means my chances of becoming a samurai just doubled I am encountering a lot of problems/marriage proposals from different women who want to come with and other things. The main thing is i will probably sell my car....my brand new 2005 Mustang GT...yeah I could bring it with me but that is too much of a hassle and I dont want to have to get Godzilla insurance on it. The other problem is that I cant take my cell phone with me. Tmobile has let me down.
Anyhow I am scheduled to rotate in November so that would put me in Japan in January. How are the comic shops in Japan or am I gonna have to get subscriptions??????

I'm trying to put together a trip to Kyoto w/ a few of my friends in late winter or spring, but still, that's nothing compared to living in Osaka for 3 years!! Have fun. I'm sure you'll enjoy it bro.

I have friends who have lived in Japan for various stints and they all loved it. Americans are treated like gods over there for the most part, but everything is really damn small and that takes some getting used to, apparently. One of my friends ended his stint over there early because of it. He said that he always felt claustrophobic. He was in Tokyo, though, and I think it was more of him not used to being in a big city more than anything else.
